It's tragic when anyone dies due to being allergic to certain foods, such as in the cases mentioned in this thread--. Everyone that's allergic to any food, their level of tolerance varies from one person to another, hence why there are some that can't even have traces of it, much less, inhale it....As for myself, I've known for many years that I could not handle any kind of 'nuts-peanuts' although I'm not allergic to it, but tasting any will cause me to vomit, there are times when smelling the 'breath' of one who has been eating peanuts (any kind), will even stir up my stomach in an unfavorable way also. I've seen candy bars (without peanuts/walnuts, etc.) with warning labels on their wrappers indicating the candy bar was made where the presence of peanuts is also processed and sometimes I'll forgo that particular candy bar.
As for ^Angel^....we'll smooch up a bit before she'll hit a bag of Peanut M&M's or anything else containing peanuts--and thank gawd for toothpaste! *grins* RR>
