Giant sea creature baffles scientists

SANTIAGO, Chile, July 2 — A huge, gelatinous sea creature found washed up on Chile’s coast has stumped scientists, who have sent samples to a specialist in France for help in identifying the mystery specimen. The dead creature was mistaken for a beached whale when first reported last week, but experts who went to see it said the 40-foot-long mass of decomposing lumpy gray flesh apparently was an invertebrate.

eh.. i bet it is huge poor old octopus OR Squid (something like that).. :)

I believe it may be a large octopus like you said. But it could also be a huge jelly fish or something.

Or it's just Kirby.
 
That's second time I hear since a year... The last time, there was gaint squid at Australia on the coast.
 
yeah...looks pretty much like a giant, dead octopus to me...
 
Yikes ! :eek: It looks like alien visit to this earth to look for us ?

Actually, it was more of around New Zealand -- between NZ and Australia... :)
