I just SO got into the "ghost in the shell" series since I got the first "ghost in the shell" movie early for my birthday and it was promotely AWESOME...pretty cool animation with computer animated graphics effects, pretty cool action and stunts...etc it is pretty cool as the "Matrix" series are, as well.

speaking of the "Matrix"..."Ghost in the shell" is pretty much alot like the "Matrix" triogly...machines and computers versus humans versus androids versus reality and fantasy, etc...

"Ghost in the shell" was orginally based on the manga, and I never read those but should get those volumes sometime soon...especially those television series, as well.

"Ghost in the shell 2" is (which I just seen this in theatres last week on saturday, my actual birthday) ABSLOUTELY one of the best looking and most coolest anime films with such artistic computer graphics, realistic acting characters, real time violence and stunts...and very well told storyline..."Ghost in the shell 2" is HIGHLY recommend for every anime freaks and sci-fi geeks to own.

"Ghost in the shell 2" is coming to DVD December 28th. Afew days before the new year's.

Perhaps it's on Adult Swim, late night cartoons/animes for adults like us.

I saw it on the internet already. ;)
Yup, I already watched it. Encoded & translated by [Ecchi-Eggu]. Pretty good. Question our humanity and morals.

Steel, I can lend you the bandwidth for you to download.. the subtitle is pretty good and clear compare to [haWks]'s. I read the mangas too, I own the Ghost in the Shell manga and soon will recieve the Ghost in the Shell 2: Man-Machine Interface TPB manga (release on Jan 19th 2005). Actually I have the scans on my computer... I should have start to read it.

I already have the Ghost in the shell: SAC Season 1 01-26 and Season 2 (still in translating) on my computer too but haven't watch yet. I guess I can do it right after I am done with Noir. I hate to watch any animes on TV channels such as Adult Swim due to sloppy translation and never like Closed Caption on animes as well...

Anyway if you want to watch Ecchi-Eggu's Innocence, let me know and I can lend you to download.

Steel, I want to show you what GITS - Innocence look like (I know you already watched but I want to show you what I have) I tried to use onfinite to host the files for me but it is seemingly down at this moment.. so I attached it thru this attachment feature for now.

I can't wait to see this, but which ones do I see first in order? The first movie, then the Stand Alone Complex then the Innocence movie?

You will have to watch the 'Ghost in the Shell' movie (first movie) before you can watch the Innocence or it will confuse you a bit due to Major Motoko Kusanagi events. SAC is in different timeline so you can watch it first, middle or last without any confusions.

If you did read the first manga, you don't need to watch the first movie but still, suggest you to watch the first movie anyway.

Thanks for your help. I haven't read the manga yet. I'll be sure to watch the first movie then the next. I'll watch the SAC after I've seen it.

Stand alone complex is just a new series of the Ghost in the shell universe, showing what section 9 really do and what kind of terrorists they are after and stuff like that...so it does have tons of cool episodes with awesome computer effects and stuff so actually I would recommend you to watch the orginal ghost in the shell first, since it is a classic and then watch ghost in the shell 2...and then the stand alone complex series...that would proably clear your mind on the way. ;)

oops, I made a mistake in my previous comment. It is not in different timeline, it is in different universe. my bad. thanks to steel for that info.
