LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Police arrested a Lawrenceville man accused of showing up drunk to the city’s municipal court to answer to previous public intoxication charges.
Police charged 49-year-old Phillip Ingram with being under the influence at City Hall.
It happened after an officer believed he smelled alcohol coming from Ingram Tuesday. Ingram was checking in at Lawrenceville Municipal Court on a public intoxication charge about 1 p.m.
An officer confronted Ingram and police say a breath analysis later registered his blood alcohol level at .14, nearly twice the limit for driving.
Lawrenceville police sat this is Ingram's 13th arrest by Lawrenceville police since 2003.
