here is $1.78 per liter of gas and extra 5 cents per liter tax.

Ouch, that must hurt big time! I know that your country and other europe countries have high gas prices for years becuz of high tax to support social security and medical services. I remember travelling in europe back in 1987 with family on a tour bus...in Italy, I was told it was $4.00 per gallon and I was :-o In US at that time, gas was 88 cent per gallon.

In san diego area, gas $$ average is $3.20. :)

It has a lot to do with em.They wont suspend Gas taxes.They wont Vote for new refineries or Oil Drilling on our land.So They had their chance its time for the democrats to step in and take over.

Are you blind or what? Hey Canada is socialist, their gas cost is about 50 top 75% more than here... SO WTF? Republician cause that? Your must be kidding and blind!

I concur and if the Democrats took over, you can kiss the idea that we will get new refineries or more places to do oil exploration. They are really against that stuff. In fact, the Dems want to increase the gas taxes to get us away from oil. I can see it now...gas will cost 4.00 to 5.00 easily. Just be careful what you ask for Buck! Neither party has really come up with a sensible plan and it getting more that the people will have to do it for them...what a sad indictment!!!
 
Amen!!! The real issue is supply and demand. What made the situation worse, not just by single factor... But SEVERAL factors, two notable one is of course middle east crisis, PLUS new appetite for oil from CHINA!!! Now China is as addict to oil as us! That makes the demand twice, and the supply of oil didn't increase much lately. Of course the flow of oil have increased, but there isn't much new oil well to be found. There are other factor to the increasing cost of gas, namely Envoronmentist! They demand better method of refine the OIL, like adding MTBE then later only to find out it is cancer causing cancer!!! Forcing oil company to abandon the MTBE.

Same principle with real gold, Once somebody found huge veins of gold underground the value of gold plummet, the longer the gold isn't found, then the value goes up.

Gas prices are sure driving everybody insane these days....Today $30 for my tank at 2.87 a gallon at the Pilot's....Thank goodness my mpg before the fill up was 40 mpg :)
 
THe GOP had theur chance and they screwed it up.Like The House passed ANWR Drilling But the Senate Blocked it.So its the GOP thats playing games So they had their chance its time to give the democratic party another chance and
