Venezuela? The standard of living is so low then USA is better suit for me.

I am thinking about to buy that electric SUV with little gas. It will roll out in Fall from Ford. I wasn't sure what is going happen but this moment, I am looking at train and do save trip beside my new home is close to store include caption movie!!!

So no complaint, but be glad we have rent movie from mail. It could save gas.. heh.. i know it no need heh. Gas gotta be stuck but wonder when we will ever use our Oil for car.

Many people kept say there will be free dirty air but we still using A/C to keep cool us down but I am little worry about UV ray, hope there is a way to replace a/c to keep house cool.

If they found solution and they want money for that.. i think that cruel. Yes, I know we are making living but we want us, people, be health. Not just use money and will keep us health. If no money, then make us sick.

I'm hoping to find a new job around downtown or any place that has good public transportation instead of driving 25 minutes north out of downtown nearby where I live then I'll leave my vehicle at home and use the public transportation as well my feet too... UNLESS if job pay well then I'll suck it up by continue driving

Me, too. I might buy it this fall. I realize that there will be a H20 vehicle for sales coming up but we don't know when they will do that. I think I should get the electric SUV no matter what.

I believe that a few auto corporations have a secret to hire a killer to kill an inventor who makes a car that does not come with a gas in the tank. That could a big problem.

Actually, I am really glad that there are some companies are willing to sell their own hybrid vehicles on the market. The hybrid is still not perfect because we still pay for the gas.

A biodiesel might be a good way, but I am sure that the price will skyrock someday. It is probably not worth it. For oil, it won't work because it does not explode up. Gas does because of the pressures in the motor. That's how the design work.

My opinion is that H20 would be the best in the world without depending on oil and gas from other countries including our country. Gas and H20 are very close because they have the same kind of pressure that runs a motor. H20 is harmless.

Yes, you are right that A/C is another issue that harm ozone in the air. There must something a new way and better than a traditional A/C. We are waiting for that.

The Republicans are hard to change, but I think that they finally realize that things are getting worse - global warning, gas price skyrocket, corrupt financials, weather affects, etc. I hope that the Republican congress people are willing to share with Democrats to work out. I also hope that Bush will be impeached soon as the better. He is so dirty to run many things that both parties know that he does not a good job at all. His speeches (lectures) are so poor especially no sense what he was talking about. He uses slang words sometimes.

Two weeks ago, I asked a Ford dealer about an Escape Hybrid. He said that the mpg is 18/28. I have a brochure in the mail, and it says 15/34 city. I was puzzled. He did not mention that the speed is up to 25 mph on electric power alone. Here is the brochure's quote:

"One thing's for sure, Kermit is all about living green. So, you can understand his enthusiasm about the no-compromise approach to full-hybrid technology taken by the new 2008 Escape Hybrid. Its goal is to not only put more green in the environment, but to put more green in your wallet as well. For example, it can smoothly run up to 25 mph on electric power alone, while providing everlasting ower by recharging the battery pack each time you brake. The result? Try near-zero emissions, a hybrid that youo never need to plug in and 70% city fuel economy improvement over the I4 gasoline Escape, making it most fuel-efficient SUV on the planet."

On the news, a mayor already bought 13,000 Escape Hybrid trucks for a cab business in San Francisco or NYC (I forgot which city).

Should be around year of 2010, that is what GM corp claims

Yes and no, your right that internal combustion engine needs something to Kaboom for it to run. And no, H20 does not cause explosion at all, and it is NOT internal combustion at all. How do Hydrogen fuel cells works? Simple put, it is almost same idea as feeding the batteries, and then in turn batteries run the electric motor for vehicle to run.

Better explaination, there is two cells between , and when the Hydrogen cells, has to be 2 parts fed into 1 part of oxygen on other side the elecronics gets excited and bonds themselves back into H20, thus causes electric charge, as soon as the charges emitted, it vaporized into air, and when it goes high enough, it becomes cloud and drop them back to earth as water. These concept dated back before 1870!

My hunch telling me we will be seeing Hydrogen fuel cells, know why? Todays batteries are far better today than they used to be. So, this will happen.

If you wonder how do we extract Hydrogen from water? Well, we still need electricity to split these two atoms apart. And with so much solar energy we have in the west, the chance are very high that we will be seeing more Hydrogen as a source of renewable energy.

Me, too. I might buy it this fall. I realize that there will be a H20 vehicle for sales coming up but we don't know when they will do that. I think I should get the electric SUV no matter what.

Your car dealer is wrong...

According on Ford website.
FWD - 34 mpg city/30 mpg highway
4WD - 29 mpg city/27 mpg highway

I've read (and experienced) the fact that none of the manufacturers' estimated mileage numbers are accurate. Most are overestimated quite generously. The only way to know for sure is to keep your own records. Of course, you can use the figures for relative comparisons between vehicles. You just can't use the figures as absolutes.

$3.49 cents to $3.79 cents here Los Angeles deal with it, live with it. as soon as summer coming up it will be possible raise...or decrease.

I saw on the news that a congressman is pending a new law to go after gas owners who illegally raise the price without authorization. Isn't that great?

I think it is not good idea, this is going to let the big oil companies win easily! How? That means small gas station owner will have to cut their throat to compete with big ones and they will eventually going out of business.
I think them congressmen is going to make grave mistakes, they are doing huge favor to major oil companies.

I think that the Congress is going after them, too. They will make another new law randomly. Actually, the oil companies have been given their money to some congress people secretly for a long time. There is no law for that one.

What do you think it really means to you? Think about it.

No way Jose! Since when has congress really gone after Big Oil? They went after Exxon a little after the wreak (Valdez) in Alaska decades ago but that was pretty much it. Congress is an insane asylum and nary a clue when it comes to hard choices. They much prefer to pass the buck to someone else.

Yea, you know what Im talking about ;)

If you notice when there is a major war or crisis going on in the world gas tends to be higher. Remember how gas spiked up on 9/11. People were waiting in line for 3-4 hours to fill up their gas tanks and cans and putting them in any available container even coke bottles and milk jugs. Some gas stations ran out of gas and had to shut down until the next shipment came in. All because we honestly thought that terrorists were about to invade our country and we were seeing the start of WWIII. (Admit it you were scared shitless the first 48 hours - I was.)

When we invaded Iraq, gas spiked, then dipped low for a while when we had it easy over their the first 12 months, because we thought we were about to get oil for dirt cheap for invading and 'liberating' Iraq. Now it is spiking to new reord highs every week.

There needs to be a price cap put on gas. It still allows companies to compete but it stops illegal price raising.

Now that Memorial Day weekend has passed, anyone noticed any increase in gas prices so far?

Noticed that pattern? Now all of suddenly so silence about gas price after Memorial day Weekend? Now are you thinking it is going to hit 4 dollars a gallon? I still don't think so.

4 dollars a gallon!!!!! Oh how we British wish our fuel was ONLY 4 dollars a gallon.

Ours is priced by the litre (some strange European measurement I am still not used to!!). It works out to just over £1 per litre and there are just under 5 litres to a gallon. If my very rough conversion rate is anywhere near accurate that works out to about 10-12 dollars a gallon here. The reason for this is that the British motorist is taxed beyond all reasoning. The fuel actually costs pennies yet the Chancellor slaps on huge taxes to take it to the price that it is.:pissed:

Still I suppose it's all relative...if you have been used to paying a lower price then an increase would make you a big cross...:)
