Gas customers rage about pump prices

Water cooled motor means they got antifreeze that you need to maintain and add if they were low. Most motorcycle is air cooled, meaning they don't have antifreeze and depends on air to keep the motor cool. All of the cars is water cooled, you see the radiator? That is for antifreeze. For motorcycle, easy to tell, look in front of motorcycle, right behind the front wheel if you see the small radiator, about the size of paper, then it is water cooled, but if you can't find one then it is mostly likely air cooled.

Er...that wasn't what I was asking. I quite understand that part but I wanted to know why you preferred watercooled motorcycles? Would it be that watercooled kept the engines cooler and therefore they last longer? That struck me as an interesting aspect of motorcycle ownership.

Heres the Solution.Cut the Federal Gas Tax in Half both in FEDERAL & STATE Gas Taxes. And raise toll roads by $2 To help pay for new roads, highways & bridges.

lol, chick cars.

Oh got it, well I have noticed that plenty of air cooled bike don't last longer than 50k miles before requiring serious rebuilt on engine on other hand I have seen plenty of water cooled bike reaching 200k miles without even taking engine apart!

When it comes to water, it is harder to push them over the limit. They can't go any hotter than it can take. While air cooled, it could get hot, there is nothing to cool them down. You can try this. Fill up a paper cup with water, and put it on top of gas stove... will that cup get on fire? The answer is nope, it won't get fire BUT once water's gone it will start to catch fire. Because of water being around it is harder to burn anything.

Won't work! Why? Fed taxes on gas is really small, its like taking 5% off, what a joke? And to add toll on road, meaning hiring people to collect money, labor cost will eat up anyway!

I see, DHB......but they don't make the 1500 anymore, right? Thanks for the info.

Gee, I didn't realize they quit GL1500, that is sad. I don't see the real need of bigger engine. Mine's only 1200cc and gawd! It is real fast!!! I can reach 100mph no problem at all! I just learn that the only one model year, GL1100, 1984 is the only year with 8 gears and is the fastest of all, even faster than GL1800.
Anyway, 2007 GL1800 might be ok, but again time will tell if they will have another recall or not.

Quit bitch!

Europe is more COST gas than USA. Be happy you live in USA.

Europe is low salary from work than USA too. If you going to Europe and you will understand.

I was born from there.

USA's tax is around 6% depent on city for technology like laptop, desktop, hardware, digital camera,etc..

Europe's TAX almost 17%!

Many of my family from Europe so they use walk from home to tram for school, college, work, friends, etc.. Not many of them own cars.

in Eroupe use VAT = Value Added Tax

In US does have state Sales tax, county & City & Town tax depend on places where you drive to the store to buy somethings. the tax percentage is different places for lower and higher. If you order something through the internet from out of state the company does not charge you for taxes if you order something through internet and if you and the company live in same state you have to pay your state tax. Some state does not collect state sales tax.

California is most highest state & local tax and fees.

U.S. goverment does not collect Federal Sales tax U.S. goverment can collect our income tax and Some state have income tax.

you can read the minimum wage law for other countries and United States for Federal and State minimum wage law.

Neo is already know about VAT, also I'm so too.

There's difference on between sale tax and VAT, VAT is after tax that already added on price before start on sale and sale tax is before tax that can be add at cash register after total of it.

Check out this link for UK store, you can see VAT and ex VAT, ex is means excluding.
Apple Store - U.K. - MacBook

It's not limited to states that has highest sale tax but... some cities have most highest sale tax than just for state only.

I can't believe that someone brought this post back from two years ago. The original post mentions gas at $2.93. I never thought I'd wish gas was $3.00 a gallon again. The school I work at wants to cancel raises this year. I hope not. Gas and grocery increases alone will eat my lunch.

Yes that is true....

Last week, I got a motor club (OnStar) call for a tow I went after this call but found the angry customer ran out of gas on her car about half mile from service station, I thought I just could get a gallon can to fill the gas then fill some gas in her car but she won't let me do that, she want me to TOW her car home, I asked her why tow her car, she repoused HELL WITH FUEL I CAN NOT AFFORD THAT DAMN THING. ALL OIL COMPANY ARE GOUPING US! she was really so pissed off whoa wow well I towed her car to her driveway then her motor club coughed up my tow bill .... just amazed me how rage she was about fuel cost...

So, which was cheaper... the tow cost or getting gas?

Vam, gas would be.... but since the customer used her motor club card to paid my tow bill as she may thought "tow" would be cheaper because she don't pay my tow bill, her motor club did...

Seems like the gas price is climbing daily!
But it is nothing compared to the prices in Europe. *shrug*
Get a high-mpg car! LOL
