But punish them for making a product good? That is like sueing a construction worker for building a road too nice, a building too safe, for example who is next? A cook makes food to yummy and a girl gets fat from over eating... Loses her husband and life goes to ruins?

Are you saying to let karma decide what is considered harmful/poisonous to earth/humans?
No, but they cannot push what is not wanted granted where there is not a want /need one can always create it... And I do understand this... People see it everyday from the largest and most profitable drug pushers...
But, the end user... That is where it starts or stop... The only person you can control is yourself... The rest is an illusion... I do not care if a pusher hold a gun to their heads there is a choice.... Not a good choice but a choice... Honeyed words from a sweet tongue can manipulate... But the end user hold majority of responsibility...

It is not that I cannot see it... It is the simple fact that in a society so filled with wanting to blame others for their own actions, lacking accountability and responsibilities, that I say that the end user is at fault of his or her actions... This is a video game... Sure as covered people can and do get addicted to anything... But this is not crack it is not a one hit thing, the end user should have paid attention and noticed there was an issue and addressed it.... Not blame people for his or her actions...

Gamer need a Fallout REHAB .... World of Warcraft did have Rehad for wow clients... when they are starve, lose weight, too addictive, lost job, marriage, or suicide. IF they get him some rehab, then he cant sue fallout.

Those who design, prpoduce and push a product that counts on a certain amount of people.getting hooked
And those who sre suseptible to its hooking

Its not crack
It shares more in.common.with gambling addiction then ir does with hard drug addiction
I wont argue gambling is not harmfull to some, just because one should know the ramifications of playing.

There is more then an end user involved
Same goes for big pharma,
And any producer of a harmfull product.
If we are going to allow.the sale of products that are harmfull to some, then i see why no reason to not allow those harmed to seek compensation

I will agree that gaming is and has similarities to gambling... But, the games come with warnings, society is informed of the dangers, we are an educated people who know to look out and watch for dangers... Gaming, gambling, tobacco, drinking, and risky behavior I will place on the end user. These things in today's society, they should know better.
If there were no warnings and means for education I would be all for it... I agree that people should be able to seek financial compensation when they were legitimately done wrong... But for their own stupidity? No, they should have to learn the lesson the hard way if they allow it to go that route.

Exactly they are in it together... Without one, there can be no other... If one is going to do something they should be aware of the facts and dangers... The dangers of excessive gaming is known, thus the big companies should be absolved of guilt...

The end user is not this massive victim though... It keeps coming of as if the user is their poor targeted brainless pup who has no choice but to follow where marketing leads...

It is not that I cannot see it, it is just that I do not agree...

I find it interesting that just because I do not agree with you then I must lack knowledge, understanding, or complete thought. And yes, all three have you laid before me..

Victims and brainless pups comment is due to the multiple comments of how advertising and marketing is at fault for turning people into addicts...

Gaming gambling, and drugs may have similarities but they are not the same... But I am jumping off this merry-go-round... For we are getting nowhere...

I think the fact that the gamer is suing for this addiction is what bothers people. It looks like a money-making scheme.
 
Suing left right centre leaves door open for genuine unable to sue because things like this will in near future will change law.
I think uppitunist trying get what he can..,Although saying this gaming has cause problems with children to point of death.
Gamer makers should be aware of these killing games and anything requiring money.This bloke seems like trying his luck I understand addictive illness but this bloke needed someone fling computer out his wife did not so may been more problems than this game
