Hey! Its been a while since last time I post here! So far I have enjoyed FSDB! I recent got out of TA. I am now official a full time student at FSDB! There is a few things that does not impress me. One, their foods is lousy and they recent added salad bar and that only I eat everyday with some lunch sometimes. They doesn't sell chick filla or pizza at lunch like my old school do but I guess I can't complaint. Overall, they need improve big time. Second, Dorm is way too strict for my taste. I heard middle school dorm is worse. There were too many complaints. I prefer them to improve a little like give more privileges to different levels. I found out girl dorm level 4 can go off campus everyday but boys dorm level 4 only Wednesday and Thursday. Boys dorm doesn't have private bathroom in each rooms like girls dorm does. Lucky for juniors include me will live in apt next year. I noticed some staffs can be misunderstand. That's all for today. I will write more later. I will be around to check out comments.
 
Ah, I don't realize you're back! XD

Sorry if I bumped your old thread. But, it is so great to see how you are doing at FSDB! Yeah, dorms can be strict sometimes, but it'd done for safety reasons. So, it is more important is having good times at that dorm. About lunch-- you can make your own lunch but I am not sure if FSDB allows it.
 
awesome!!! keep posting on how you are doing? it sounds normal to me about lousy food, restricted female and male separate and etc. Im glad that you are doing great over there. cool! see you havent post becuase you are too busy enjoying your life over there. :D keep coming back and post whenever you can.

Do you want go to MSSD? Their food is just good tastes as Gallaudet does but more limited choice than Gallaudet cafeteria like only meat, vegetables, fruits, rolls and dessert that meet federal regulation for nutrient needs, also you can have soda for dinner only. You will live in Ballard North with boys who in 9-12 and they do have community bathroom with private shower. You are not allowed go off campus during weekday.

Of course, the food can sucks in many deaf school and you are just high school student that where you don't have much freedom as adult.

Trust me, you will love college life after get out of high school.
 
No pizza at lunch?!?! That is hard to believe that they don't serve pizza! Why don't you start a campaign to have them serve pizza? Bad food is almost universal at schools...lol...just one of those things.
The dorms being strict can be a pain, but they have those rules for a reason. But overall is FSDB really fun?
 
Had time to go to St. Augustine Beach yet?...How about downtown St. Augustine...visiting the Old Fort or the Old Jail or Ripley's Believe It or Not?....Alligator Farm?

St. Augustine has so much History, so many good restaurants too. And there is a very nice Motel/Bed & Breakfast place right across the Bridge of Lions. And of course, those ol' folk singers in the pubs and outside on the cobblestone streets. The crafts....Ahhhh...you're in a piece of Heaven there! Enjoy ur time.

Ahh good times... been there twice and I've always enjoyed it. Did most of the things you mentioned. People always talk about voodoo/ghosts in New Orleans, but it just doesn't beat the creepy feeling you get walking around the cemeteries in St. Augustine at night.

Hey!! I went there once as a kid and it was still fun!!

Although, I can see why it would be boring for a teenager.

:giggle:...got carried away there....just to note that I do love St. Augustine but didn't go to school there, but have visited the campus.....and the old city many, many times.

And if the food is so bad....BK or ol' MacDonald's is right down the street....

Speaking of cemeteries....there is a bar and right across from it was a cemetery, just steps away!...the name slips me tho'!...Very creepy!...It was so packed one year from all the bikers (there was a parade that year)...we had to stand in line for a long time just to get a drink and fight ur way into the bar (standing room only)....then fight ur way out...forget about geting another drink!

And "Scarlett O'Hara's"...always go there whenever we visit St. Augustine.

Haven't gone when I was of drinking age yet... ;) Will keep that in mind for next time though!!!

I think congress declared pizza a vegetable so you should have pizza everyday!!!

They does serve a pizza but not that often. It's like once or twice a month. I went to downtown with staff since it was a night time and over limit area where off campus allowed. I enjoying at FSDB. I had thought about moving to MSSD next year but I realized I need a ride to go there from SC. So I dropped it. I really like FSDB so far.

That's true because you are responsible for all transportation expenses if you are going to home and return to school.
