frankies surgery is next tuesday.

Right. This is an in and out procedure and you will be able to stop worrying about him getting enough nutrition on top of everything else. It is natural to worry about any procedure...as a mom I understand that perfectly. But this is a good thing, IMO.
 
There's also a great part.....if you have to give him meds, you can do it through the tube!

I hope the operation goes well though it is understandable to be anxious. We had the operation done for our son and it went smoothly (if that's any encouragement). And it does make feeding so much less stressful. Before we were continually anxious about his weight and he would get so upset at meal times that both parent and child ended up distressed. And then you have to repeat it in a few hours time... You have all of my sympathy for what you're going through :hug:
 
I came across this thread and today is Tuesday. How did it go? Hope Frankie will be much better after today.

I was thinking of Frankies and wondering how he is doing with his GI tube?
