Curious about your type for go out for eat. Few times, I went out with my friends. They rather Independent restaurant because of taste better. To me, both are same to me. All I care about FOOD for my health's sake.
 
i personally would go for independent business where i can go to -- im so SICK of chains -- ESPECIALLY MCDONALDS!!!!!!!!!

Indie biznesses rawk! They just have more personailty and flavor then stupid chain biznesses. I mean...would you rather eat at Taco Bell or a really yummy authentic Mexican restrurant? Plus, by eating at an indie restrurant, you're helping out the little guy and not feeding money to big faceless corparations
 
i prefer both... since i like most of franchie foods.. but others person own could taste better ;)
 
There is this independent hamburger store which had been around since my dad was in high school. The man has his own secret recipe which makes the hamburgers so delicous!! It's also really cheap, $1.55 for a cheeseburger compared to $3 or $4 fpr a hamburger at McDonald's or Burger King.

Butterflygal -- yea we used to have a few "Little Taverns" around here til they went out of business -- small business that used to sell hamburgers for CHEEP and their hamburgers were NASTY!!!!! :barf:
 
When I was in college all I could afford was to eat at McDonalds... Now I've got a career who never went back to McDonalds LOL I'm for independent business and I can never get out of it! Woohoo!

LOL *pffttttt* Ya know I can't deny that and I won't ever disappoint my baby, but we'll only go ONCE a month! I'll probably end up eating my baby's french fries LOL

I VOTED BOTH..... I DID LIKE TO EAT FAST FOOD IF I NOT HAVE TIME. I WOULD PICK SOMEPLACE ELSE SO I WOULD LIKE GO THERE, NOT THIS "BORED" SAME STORY FAST FOOD LIKE MCD OR TB, ETC.. :D
 
Independent rest. are more personal. Aim high for customer service and you know where your money's going.
 
Talk about franchise crap! I’m madder than a guy letting his dog sleep in his bed on a stormy night and waking up with a bunch of wiener ticks! I stood at the MacDonalds about a month ago while some brain dead fatty scoured the damn menu for 11 minutes!!! Who the hell has to look at a menu at the MacDonalds??? It aint like all of a sudden they gonna junk Big Macs and start selling Chinese food!? If you don’t know what’s on the menu at a MacDonald’s by now then you got shovel marks on yer forehead! The damn menu aint had too many drastic changes in it the last 5,000 years. When they rolled that boulder off the tomb of the Lord they done found 3 things. A joke book the Lord was working on called, “You may be the son of god if…”, solitaire cards, and a hot apple pie from MacDonald’s. If you’re holding up the line at MacDonald’s cause you don’t know what they serve then resign your citizenship and leave the country. Especially fat folks that go in there. Good God! Fat folks aughta know that sumbitch like the pledge of allegiance. It’s a disgrace to all fat folks if you’re big and walk in there looking at the menu like a damn rookie! If I'm ever in a hurry at The MacDonald’s I wanna be behind my fat ass sister. She can order a #4 with extra fries and a viniller shake with her damn eyes closed. And THAT’S what I’m talking about. Like a guy said standing in line at MacDonald’s behind some fatty looking at the menu, “Damn Oprah, ya think you’d have it memorized by now!”
