We may be getting an FM system for at home.
So they can hear the TV better and the learning games on the computer.
As well as me.

Yay for them!

No its a system where I get a mic, and then it goes right into their hearing aids. So I don't have to raise my voice. The TV is blarring most of the time around here because they need it loud to hear it. So now the FM system can transmit the sound right into their hearing aids (no other sounds around them just the TV). I put the mic near the speaker of the TV.

Got a picture or any information on it

What is an FM Listening System?

FM Listening Systems let teachers talk into a hand-held microphone, which transmits the sound of the teacher's voice directly to a deaf or hard of hearing child's hearing aid. This transmission happens on reserved radio spectrum 216-217 MHz. Many retailers of products for deaf and hard of hearing people carry personal FM systems.

Dear Raingurl, I am considering about getting a DAI or FM system for music and TV set listening.

Can you tell me how much the FM system cost for you ?

FM Systems

Hey there,

Thats so cool, I also have a FM, pretty expensive things, but mine is the Phonak Microlink, I really would recommend it, my lecturers wear it in university, and I love listening to the tv with it! It makes life so much better

Talking about sizes, mine is tiny and lightweight!

In after 2000, children at our school district are no longer to wear FM system anymore unless its their parent responsible to bring their own FM system, just order FM add-on for HA and CI but its not cheap though.
