Florida Man Unleashes Road Rage, Universe Responds Appropriately

The woman driver was no better- filming all of this WHILE DRIVING.... plus she was in the left lane which is normally used for passing and she was going 50 mph- Not sure what the speed limit is supposed to be in her video but highways usually are 60 and up.

She was passing a vehicle. If you watch the video you can see she is slowly passing a vehicle. On top of that, it was raining and road was wet so she was passing responsibility. Speed limit don't matter in this case, as long as you are passing, you have right to be in left lane no matter what speed is.

The passing lane only applies to expressway (interstate), not intersection.

She was actually drive on state road (SR 41).

The speed limit on state road is around 50-55 MPH, that what she said on video.

Yes, but I found this road that where woman drove is state road (intersection) and passing lane isn't applies to those road - if you want to turn to left so you have to be on left lane to make turn to left.

Thanks foxrac- I couldn't hear her on the video or understand what she was saying. Point taken on the left lane part as well.

But the biggest thing is that she was still 'filming' while driving. She is also lucky that she didn't hurt anyone or swerve into the opposite direction lane.

:laugh2: I saw this almost everywhere now! :laugh2: It's all over the news here, I heard it happened here in Tampa best of all! :laugh2:  I can't help but actually laugh out loud every time I see it still... :laugh2:

Yes, the left passing lane thing only applies to the interstate as some people need to turn left on local streets. People here just like to drive like ass hats. They got their instant karma and got everything they deserved...

Crazy as it is, some people just don't move on the left lane! Try the 75 run? Tampa roulette!

I was reading the comments people left about this topic online. Wouldn't believe how many comments were against the woman, calling her a b*tch. Never mind that the man was tailgating her and giving her the finger yet it was HER fault??! People...

He got what he deserved, this is probably one of those ass muffins blocking up my commute through malfunction junction every week! Luckily he no longer has a truck to do it with...

Fox , Have to differ with you... she was on a 2 lane roadway (4 lanes divided)
There are signs posted here to stay right unless passing, as you see in her video you are wrong, there are left turn lanes she passes as well....
Ok, more arguements, she passed the vehicle "slowly" but she "STAYED" in the left lane too... she is as much of an ass as he !
Cool, she video'd it, got revenge... but still she was breaking the law with cell phone uses... if she wants to pull shit, buy a dash cam.
I agree theres 2 sides to every story, Ive had idiots pull in front of me ( they are doing 25 in a 40 and for some dumb reason need to get into the left as you approach them doing 40 at the last second and you nearly have to stand on your brakes) and they stay there never passing or gaining on the car that was in their original lane...why? Beyond me... Do they need to be pushed off the road? Yes !
Im sure you experienced this quite often.... videos, if they dont show how it started, they are wrong too... I bet 100 pennies she cut the guy off ....

Not really, you are wrong - she drove on state road (SR 41) that is intersection and passing doesn't apply to those road, but passing only applies to interstate.

There is no argument - it is fact.

No, Florida doesn't ban on usage of phone for recording purpose, so she does't break any law.
State Distracted Driving Driving Laws

I drove on intersection really MANY MANY times and there is no passing on those road, but on expressway (interstate) like I-20 - YES.

Just talked to my good friend and he's from Florida, so he said that passing applies to rural highway too (state route and US route), but in urban - passing doesn't make any sense if there are a lot of turn, red light and traffic - more like intersection.

A lot of people are driving slow in left lane on non-expressway rural highway, but on expressway, it is opposite, also state troopers usually cite for slow drive or misuse of passing lane on expressway, but on non-expressway, it isn't enforced.

Tailgating will not solve any problem and you could getting into accident and having patient is key word if you see a slow car on passing lane - let police officers deal with it, not you.

Was always my understanding that slower traffic stays in the left lane...and if they want to pass the car ahead of them...then do so...and get back into the left lane....

This shows the high level of impatience people can have these days on the roads! There's no need to go way over the speed limit. There's no need to tailgate a car that's going the speed limit. People just have to remember that they will get to their destination eventually. If people are late for work, this is not an excuse for being late. They have to examine themselves to see how they can manage their time wisely.

Actually, in the U.S., the slower traffic stays in the right lane while the left lane is usually used for passing.

I agree with your first paragraph.

Second paragraph, the law that regulate on passing lanes are dictated by state.

It won't matter if you are on intersection with a lot of traffic - it won't work.

In the state of Florida, any vehicle crash that results in a rear end collision is your fault. Meaning, who ever rear ended you is at fault. If you rear end someone, it's your fault. If someone rear ends you, it's their fault. Tailgating is also illegal here and you will be ticketed for following too closely.

As for me, I brake check people who follow too closely. I can't stand that crap. Want to tailgate me while I'm going the speed limit and following the laws? That's just fine... you can eat my bumper and get me a new paint job. Is brake checking legal? No, not really... Is it legal if I say I thought I saw an animal or object in the road I was stopping for? Damn right it is.... I've done it before and I'll do it again! I've also made people wreck to avoid rear ending me while tailgating... TAKE THAT! :D

I concur. It is just not worth it to risk your life and others as well. Not only there is a high insensity of being patient around and to add road rage in the mix - that just does not bode well.
