my friend sent me this site MiniLaptop

I hope it'll be cheaper as well, but looking at the specs, the only reason why it'll be cheaper is because those components they're offering were top of the line one year ago. Standard PC laptop offerings today are:

2.4GHz processor
14" display
256 MB RAM
30 GB HDD
8X DVD
Built-in network/ethernet
Built-in speakers
Windows XP Home

Weight, 8lbs

That's about $800.

If this is comparable in price with the FlipStartpc, I guess a trade-off from processor speed and screen size to weight would be quite the selling point.

I just can't imagine businesses giving up speed and viewing size for something 7 pounds lighter. I hope this is something home users would be interested in.

Aw, and if I had the money, I would splurge on one for my AD friends...it sure would be really handy to have when you're on the road :)
 
Wow... technology is sure moving along... but me pocket isn't :( I'm going to be buying myself an ibook (old but that's all I can afford.)
 
Wow! sounded awesome device! I'd want it too! hehehe, sounded like Pager and Mini-laptop in one! Perfect for deafies who want to use IP-Relay., Plus have Wi-Fi built in which is wonderful because it will be everywhere soon!!!! As of right now, places that have "Hot Spot" will work well with this device. I found out that pricing and availablity won't be here soon, so halfa to wait!
