DAVIE, Fla. (AP) -- Police have jailed the father of a 3-year-old boy who allegedly battered a man his son accused of molestation.

Now, 27-year-old Manuel Vega and an alleged accomplish could receive a much stiffer sentence than the alleged sex offender.

Thirty-eight-year-old Luke Petruschke had to be placed in a medically induced coma after the weekend attack. Police say Vega and 43-year-old Krish Carter slammed the man with concrete blocks, punched and kicked him.

The two were being held without bond on attempted murder charges. If he recovers, police say Petruschke will face charges of lewd and lascivious molestation.

The boy's grandmother says Vega is a good dad who just "lost it" in a fit of rage.

See, bein' a sex offender is NOT helpin'. It will provoke to some people to protect their children. Warnin' to sex offenders: Do NOT touch their children. Keep yourself away from them in any cost!

I hope Petruschke WON'T recover... the kids in the world will be a lot safer.

Vega's fit of rage was justifiable. I mean 3 years old... that is not only perverted it's SICK... I wouldn't have let the guy lived if it were my son.

Just wanted to remind you that we came up with the idea of titling the thread [GRAPHIC] or something to that effect and only mentioning the graphic material in the thread itself.

Thks for the reminder... seems the mods would have made a post of that (I missed it).

hey Caver, bet you could hide a nasty molester's remains where absolutely no one but a future archaeologist would look........

I don't blame the dad one bit. I have kids and grandkids too.

Interesting...they are giving a more harsh sentence to the father than to the sex offender. What a way to go, law enforcement.

Yes, I noticed that too. It just goes to show the limited sentences that molesters are given. :( That's really sad... the molester should be in jail for a good 15-20 years without the possibility of getting out early.

I don't think it was made a rule . Several sensitive souls just thought it would provide them protection.

Even though it's not an official rule, there was a thread on it about how we were going to try it out for a month and see how it goes. Here's the post mentioning it. :)

Did you ask a moderator to change it? To be posting in it you must have come in and read it.

The title says what it is.

The logical thing as Jolie told you would be to ask the moderator to change the title.
