ur rite about open forums where people badmouth about others. if michael is a member of AD, he would probably report against many individuals for saying mean things about him.

ah, ok. i believe jeff is 'netrox'. he and i r not related.

Well, Sorry that the truth can hurt sometimes, But I believe Michael did was wrong and plus I don't believe he loves his wife, if he did he would stood by her no matter how hard it got, But he cheat on her and already has two kids is that some "loving" husband that anyone would want?

Yes; You both confused me with almost alike member names. heh Sorry. ;) Forgive me. :)

I'm wondering if anyone here know the updates on Terri's condtion?....I don't see anything on the homepage and I missed the news earlier this evening too :(

i understand ur strong opinion about michael's complicated love life. following statements is my opinion: if there is a someone who experienced 15 years of spouse's vegatation state without involving someone else in love life and criticized michael schiavo. that would be different. it is like in order to have a rite to criticize michael's love life is walk in his shoes for many miles.

it's ok that u got confused with similar member names. if ur curious why i came up with mine, read under my member name.

All I see on AOL News that the judge turn down Parents reguested, and Parent are seeking for a Easter communion with their daughter.

'Time Is Moving Quickly'
The court reject yet another attempt from a brain-damaged woman's parents to have her feeding mechanism reconnected. Parents seek permission to an Easter communion to their daughter.

Schiavo Judge Protected After Threats

CLEARWATER, Fla. (March 26) - Amid the pitched legal battle over Terri Schiavo that has been fought through his court, Pinellas County Circuit Judge George Greer has been under the protection of armed guards, and friends say his family also is protected.

A man carries an effigy of Judge George Greer outside the hospice where Terri Schiavo rests.

Death threats have been made against him for allowing Michael Schiavo to remove the feeding tube that has kept his 41-year-old wife alive for the past 15 years, and the Southern Baptist church that Greer belonged to for years has asked him to leave the congregation.

Greer - a conservative Christian and longtime Republican known for an easy manner - has become the public face of the judiciary in this internationally watched fight. But despite the mounting pressure, he has been steadfast in his rulings that Terri Schiavo is in a persistent vegetative state and did not want to be kept alive artificially.

"There are very few people who have shown the will to stand up to raw power," said Stetson University Law Professor Michael Allen, who has studied the Schiavo case. "He's one."

"This is simply a case of people not liking this decision, and the fact that a judge is standing up to this is quite important," Allen added

People have gone mad. Wow. I am sure not surprise.

I'm sorry Cheri, I didn't explain it quite well, I meant to say about her condtion how she is doing today?...

I already knew about that , the link you had shown me....but I haven't heard how she is doing today....

Oh I am sorry It was my fault really I didn't caught that line carefully, You could say from the lack of sleeping I've gotten lately made my brains on fire. LOL! I really honestly don't know how Terri is feeling today, I am sure something will come out soon, I hope ;)

Bobby Schindler, Terri's brother said, "I hear earlier that Mr. Felos was saying that Terri was dying a peaceful and painless death. That is absolutely not true. It's the most absurd thing I've ever heard. If that was the case, I would ask Mr. Felos to allow a video or a camera in Terri's room."

Terri Schiavo's feeding tube was taken out last Friday. Her family has been hopeful that she will be allowed to receive Easter Communion, consisting of a tiny piece of bread and a drop of wine, but the family said Schiavo's husband turned down their request to give Terri communion.

Mr. Felos got :Owned: after Terri's brother suggested to allow a video or a camera in Terri's room. Michael wouldn't allow Terri have her communion? How rude.

I can't believe it is on, on and on, on...................

Let Michael make the final decision after all he is the HUSBAND, and I feel sorry for him to have a nuisance interfering Mother-in-law and father-in-law.

He is the one God will watch him, and perhaps Terri will come back to haunt him after her departure?

It is none of our problem, its theirs. :sure:

Let her find a peace with God soon.

It pissed me off.. He rots in hell..

All they asked for to spend with Terri on Easter and last ritual with their pastors/preists.. whatever.. he turned them down.. OMG..

who is he? the evil the satan.. :(

I am glad that the fight for Teri's life is over. It has dragged on for a long time as I keep seeing the headlines about Teri and the same picture of Teri with her mother frequently.
It is time for her parents to realize that their daughter will never be the same again. Even if Teri came out of that coma, she wouldn't be the same person as before. I know this msyelf.
On April 16, 1997 I walked into the path of a upcoming car (never saw it coming) and causing me to go into a coma that lasted for a week and half.
I came out and yes, I did have mild to moderate brain injury. My recovery was great.
That doesn't mean I was the same person I was before the accident and will not be again.
Back to the topic, I feel Teri has been in the same vegetative state for a long time and there was no hope of a recovery. If it was me, I wouldn't want to be in that state at all. I know my family will not keep me alive like the parents did with Teri.
It is best for everyone involved and I feel that the courts did the right thing to in letting Teri go.
Blue120 :)

Enough of that.... Terri's dying for sure. There's nothing you can do. Say your prayers and move on. I will cry when she dies but her case should teach us an important lesson - write down a living will!

Schiavo Legal Battle at End

Sunday, March 27, 2005

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. — Under increased security and fading hopes, Terri Schiavo's parents asked supporters to return home to spend Easter Sunday with their families as the couple's brain-damaged daughter went a ninth day without food or water.

Paul O'Donnell, a Roman Catholic Franciscan monk, said the family unsuccessfully urged Michael Schiavo to allow his wife the sacrament of communion during the holiest day of the Catholic year. She received last rites the day the feeding tube was pulled.

"This is in violation of her religious rights and freedoms and allows the governor to ... intervene," O'Donnell said Saturday, repeating the family's request that the governor take Schiavo into protective custody. "We beg you to have courage and take action."

Police brought in extra officers to block the road in front of Schiavo's hospice, citing the increased hostility and intensity of protesters.

Attorneys for Bob and Mary Schindler decided not to file another motion with a federal appeals court, essentially ending their effort to persuade federal judges to intervene — something allowed by an extraordinary law passed by Congress.

Schiavo's parents have disputed that their daughter is in a persistent vegetative state as court-ordered doctors have determined.

Late Saturday, the Florida Supreme Court dismissed a request from the parents' attorney to have their daughter's feeding tube reinserted, turning aside an emergency petition arguing that a Pinellas County judge ignored new evidence about Schiavo's wishes and her medical condition.

At least two more appeals loomed by the state and Gov. Jeb Bush, but those challenges were before the state 2nd District Court of Appeal, which has rebuffed the governor's previous efforts in the case.

Still, protesters planned to hold a sunrise Easter Mass outside the hospice, even as the Schindlers urged them to celebrate the holiday with their families.

"Be with your children," O'Donnell told supporters. "Hold them close and cherish every moment you have with them."

Terri Schiavo was raised Roman Catholic, and her parents have made heavy use of her faith as the basis for the numerous appeals to reinsert the feeding tube.

Meanwhile, police monitored the scene from the hospice roof, patrol cars blocked each entrance and uniformed officers patrolled the grounds.

Schiavo's condition has deteriorated since her feeding tube was removed, but attorneys for each side offered distinctly different assessments.

David Gibbs III, who represents the Schindlers, said "Terri Schiavo will pass the point that she will be able to recover over this Easter weekend." Family supporters also said Terri's breathing has become increasingly labored. Another family attorney said hospice workers began giving her morphine.

But Michael Schiavo's attorney, George Felos, denied reports by the parents' attorneys that her tongue and eyes were bleeding, wracked by dehydration.

"She is resting comfortably," Felos said Saturday. "Her breathing does not appear to be shallow."

Doctors have said she would probably die within a week or two of her feeding tube being pulled, which was done after a judge sided with her husband's argument that she would not want to be kept alive artificially.

Meanwhile, another attorney for the Schindlers, Barbara Weller, said Terri cried when her mother hugged her Saturday night. "She knows what's going on. She was trying to vocalize something with Mary."

In a last-ditch plea, Gibbs argued to the state's high court that Schiavo was treated unfairly because she is disabled.

"In the best way she is able, Terri has communicated her wish to live," the petition argued.

Terri Schiavo suffered brain damage in 1990 when her heart stopped briefly from a chemical imbalance believed to have been brought on by an eating disorder. She left no living will.

"This is so sad and so disappointing," said Alia Faraj, a Bush spokeswoman. "This is a very difficult day for Mr. and Mrs. Schindler and most especially for Terri."

Outside the hospice early Sunday, protesters maintained a vigil. Some believed it wasn't a coincidence that the brain-damaged woman would lay dying during Easter weekend.

"Things are all done in God's timing," said David Vogel, who was arrested for trespassing last week when he tried to take water to her.

Schiavo has been without food and water longer than she was in 2003, when the tube was removed for six days before Gov. Bush pushed through a law to have it reinserted. The law was later thrown out by the state Supreme Court.

The feeding tube was first removed in April 2001.
