Five charged in attack on pregnant teen on Metro bus last month

I've seen like this in DC, NYC, and Chicago. Nothing is new. It is happening everywhere, so best thing to put valuable things at home. Put your cellphone in your bra/underwear for men.

Why didn't bus driver call police right after he heard the chaos in the back of the bus? Here in SF, there was two people arguing, bus driver kept driving and at same time he called police to meet the bus at next station. Police is right there, problem solved.

my hometown have bus station but they have police around in bus station all the times yes of course but i dont think bus driver have problem never..

i listen bus driver wait for another bus to transfer to my work and lots of mores..

yea i know. the best you can do is restrain her but imagine you're beating up a teen girl in a crowded place. it's almost a guarantee that you'll get beat up by a mob. it's a lose-lose situation.

The question is, why didn't the bus driver stop the bus? It was obvious what was going on in that bus.

I agree. This kind of behavior really disturbs me. I guess the attitude of "I don't want to get involved. It might inconvienience me" is more important to some than the welfare of their fellow human beings. Sad statement on society.

Yep. In cases like this, I react from instinct. Don't even think about it.

Or maybe they are afraid that the girls have guns or knives? I did see an older guy more up the front trying to get to the crowd but he seemed to be blocked by the other people. He was saying something to the people involved in this and looked very upset.

Maybe. Yeah, he was no doubt upset because the people closer weren't doing anything about the attack.

perhaps this country needs to stop being a "sue trigger-happy." America needs to remind people repeatedly that the Good Samaritan Law automatically protects you from any lawsuits.
