First appt. at NTID

I got my first appt. set up at NTID. Going to be in town on the 27th and 28th. I got a couple questions for anyone who knows the area. Any cheap but decent hotels close by? And any local resterants that I should check out?
 
hotels in rochester are not all that cheep, do NOT stay at the calrion it is nasty and dirty, I would recommend one of the comfort ins , as for food check out dinosaur grill on south & st paul
 
Dorkat motel is on Henrietta Rd. It costs around 50 or so. Well, it's been 10 years since the last time I slept there it was 35-40 a night. Check out Jay's Diner nearby.
 
Ya. It is a really nice place. Lots of appartments within walking distance and all the help I need to do well in a classroom. I'm going to work my ass off to get in there, but I have to wait till next fall. It was my first time in NY and I was suprised by how green it was. The only downside I can find is the winter, but at the same time if it is too cold to go out I will spend more time on schoolwork.
