Field of Dream of Vintages Cars

Id love to get an old 55-57 chevy truck, hell any year old trucks with a cool body and step side Id love to get

My Dad has a 57 Chevy Apache truck. I drove that truck alot in my teens and early 20s. Loved that truck! I'd love to have one myself someday...original truck and not the crappy modified ones that just ruins the classic vintage look.

I rode in a '56 Thunderbird, it drove fast! Powerplant is original V-8 engine coupled with 3 forward speed manual transmission. I would estimate the MPG would probably be between 12 to 15 on open road.

you got good guess on the mpg range, the site said 8 to 15 mpg. 0-60 mph is 9.6 seconds and top speed, 107 mph.

This was on 'Nightly News, with Brian Williams. There may be some info on their web site on how on to contact a person for anyone that may want to buy or see the cars before they're all gone.

Google ' Lambrecht Chevrolet Car Auction in Pierce , Nebraska ' and there are few more tubes about this and that may tell you more about the auction . I am guessing you will have to go to Pierce , Nebraska to take part in the auction .

I found this place by google " VanDerBrink Auctions", find Current Auction Schedule" I hope they will tell where and when. Maybe you met Jay Leno there....

If they added another gear to 4 speed, the MPG would increase slightly. The car is too heavy with metal body. If we make a same '56 design today with fiberglass, it will be lighter.

The car weighs about 3,300 lbs. That's not really heavy. Many new full size 4 cylinder cars weighs about 3,000 to 3,500 lbs due to safety features. Crashworthiness will fail big time with 1950's cars, they smash up like paper.
