ok u said that god can heal diseases or disorder that is caused by sin, why didn't he answer my prayers or heal my grandmother who is sick with lung cancer and is dying in a hospice. Why didn't he heal my grandmother to get better? Why didn't he heal me to relieve me of my bipolar that is supposely caused by some sin ( note the sarcastism) When you can answer those questions, and not some stupid comments that you made up or whatever shit cuz i dont fucking want ot hear that.. When you can answer this, then I will believe that my bipolar is a sin!, but for now it not gonna happen.

mmmhhh :gpost:

My Grandma is STRONG Roman Catholic belief... She have pictures of Jesus with cross, Pope, status, etc everywhere in her house... She prayed... Nobody answer her pray... She died for no reason... Why God want her to die? No, I do not blame God or anyone for her death but out of nature.

No, it is not a hell of a thing and not too far fetched. If she has just hours to live then she needs Jesus Christ so she can go home to Heaven and her favorite granddaughter clearly is the one to tell her grandmother to give her heart and life over to Jesus Christ and they can pray together in the privacy of the hospice nursing home and she will go up to Heaven and Jesus Christ will be waiting for her and satan can not take her soul because Jesus Christ has taken her sins away and she is made new and whole again before the Throne of The Living God. God is good to have given his son Jesus Christ for the world. I will be praying for the both of you DA and your grandma to come and know the Saving Grace and the Power of Jesus Christ.

Some of your posts sound that you are being brainwashed by Bible... Remember, it's Author who wrote the bible, not God... You can't prove that either the bible is correct or not.

Uh, I dont think I remember asking you how, when, why you found god I dont think you recognized my post as being completly ironic, cynical, and sarcastic. You spoke of god as though we were playing hide and seek, and that I need to find him.

But uh, nice story I guess? You believe in jesus because you had a dream about him? If I believe in everything I dreamed about I would believe in some pretty weird things.

But yeah, whatever works for you.

This is Momoftwo's thread. (I posted in her post telling her why I disagree with her.

I guess I had a very good reason so God decided to use me because He knows that I will tell people about God. Like perfect example so He decided to use me.

I had only ONCE dream related to God....my dream experience was TOTALLY DIFFERENT than many weird dreams.

Yes, it is very hard for you to believe my dream experience. That's okay.:)

Warm Regards,
Momoftwo:)

No, it's not very hard for us because we have dream experience like you. You are not only one... I explained you in your thread (where I just linked on Your Mom's post) about the dream.

You know christianty has a lot of rules too? You just strike me as being very hypocritical. If it isnt exactly what you believe in word for word, its crazy.

Check this out http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/lev/abs_list.html a huge list of crazy absurd rules in the bible.

Things that one might consider much more abusrd than any catholic teachings.

Handicapped people cannot approach the altar of God. They would "profane" it. 21:16-23

Hmm, interesting isnt it?

wow interesting link!

How do u know he was deaf all of his life? maybe he was hearing then became deaf and lost his speech, when Jesus came to him and clean his ears, and he remembered his speech. It still does not explain deep enough about his own deafness. U know I have not found one person got a new arm or leg thru Jesus Christ's healing.

Glad u get tohave some help with ur hearing. My sister who was HoH when she was kid and had surgery. Got her hearing back. It is big different between HoH and hearing. Good luck on this one.

If you were to check on other books written during the time, you will find that nobody gave the whole story. To my knowledge, a person with an impediment in their speech caused by deafness have either no intelligible words, or a slurred vocabulary. It takes years of training, but the dirt would not have caused him to be unable to hear his own voice. One part of the hearing test that I have gotten, the noise device (technical term?) was place tightly to the top of my head so al of the noise would be transferred through vibrations in the bone. Sound travels through all mediums at different speeds. It can be heard through the vibrations in your head bones.

thanks for the good luck wish.

This may come as a shock to you but headaches go away on their own, I used to have them never took medicine and havent had one for years. A lot of the time they are stress or allergy related. Which both come and go.

Oh and the mysterious feeling you felt, when you change positions from being up right, to laying down once you are laying down for a bit the fluids in your body espeically your nasel cavaties move, example you ever have a stuffy nose and it changes which nostril is stuffed depening on which side of your body your laying on.

In your sinus cavity when you change positions and lay down, the fluid is relieved, therefore relieving the pressure, and getting rid of the pain.

miracle solved.

Nah, I know what it was, I have sinus headache yesterday and it went down itself but not alike this. Anyway, remmy this is my truth for myself only, not yours and yours is true to u only not to me.

Some are more sever than others, sinus head aches can also be accompanied by sinus migraines, which if you dont regularly experience a migraine I might see where you think only a divine intervention would cure it. But also Allergys and the season play a big part in the blockage of your nasal cavity.

I guess some people just need someone to hold their hand through life, and be able to have somewhere or something to place blame upon for odd or even normal things happening. Which is fine I dont knock down religion, to each their own. However I do have a problem with people who tell me that I am an uncomplete being and that I am lesser than them simply because I dont believe in some magical man who lives in the sky.

You know when as a kid you have to go and read all the greek mythology stories, such as the oddessy? And when you hear that they have all these Gods that they think control everything in their lives, like the lightning was zeus being mad. And these beautiful mermaids the sirens would call out to saliors and cause them to sink their ships.

They used Gods, just like people do today to explain normal things that are just going to happen in the world. Ships skink, lightning crashes, it happens. I just dont see the need to have somewhere or something to place blame upon. But when most people read those stories they laugh, because its just silly and absurd to think that they believed in all these gods and godesses that controled every little thing around them. But its not any different than christianity, they just believe in one big god that contorls everything.

Again I reiterate, I dont have a problem with religion or religious people, I think its amazing that someone can put blind faith in anything. And I want people to come at me with open minds about my not beliving in God, so it would be totally rude and hypocritical of me to not offer the same open mind to others. I dont go around telling people that I think they are morons for beliving in something I dont think exisits, im not rude, I dont shove it in peoples faces, I dont go around knocking on doors insisting that people listen to me, I dont scoff and insist that people just need to find reality. I let people be, whatever makes them happy makes me happy for them. I just wish more people could be the same.

Stop bashing christians, they have their right to their POV as much yall do. Yes, God is LOVE, but hate sin. No, brainwashing is based on who misquote the Bible especially, humanist using them and misusing them. There are braodway ofhow God gives and what God can do. You may list those names who are christians being hateful, so some of you non christian likewise. Loving people doesn't mean approve anykind of sinful behaviors or lifestyles. Can u say, oh I love my kids by accepting ur kid hurting others? True and I agree, several times I said that, Jesus doesn't make people change, neither do I. There is so many wrong views about christians. Toooo many.

Don't shoot me for being the intermediary here, but I think Teresh is saying that religion does not guarantee a lifelong cure for a clinically depressed person. At the same time, religion can act as a solution, or how about a more lenient term, remedy, for some clinically depressed people who need spiritual guidance in their lives.

If religion fails, try humor. Laughter can be the best medicine. You cannot ignore the health benefits of laughter. It facilitates your thinking process from getting stuck in the mud. It alleviates stress. It dissolves anger. And above of all, it makes you feel good about yourself.

Have you noticed that children laugh far more than adults do? They must know something we adults don't know! I resolve to be a child in my heart for as long as I live.

Now, who wants to help me take over AD.com? :D

This is one of the best post I've read in this thread, Good posting and well said too!!!

The reality of migraines (not a state of mind!)

Just a thought, but the brain actually alternates sides that are working more from left to right. This fluctuation occurs approximately once every 30-45 minutes. That can be effected by pressure on the side of your nose that isn't stuffed, which makes the side of the brain that controls nervous messages to that side kick back up to clear the airway. Laying down on your side would cause that change.

As for headaches, take it from me and my friend Kristen Mcdonnell, migraine headaches do not just go away. Leaving them alone and all these supposed non-pharmacotherapy solutions did not work. I leave them alone they get worse. Kristen leaves them alone, she ends up in Erlanger Hospital. Migraines are real. Mine happen to be caused by the fluid in my middle ear (not the cochlea, the area where the bones are) putting pressure on my ear drum and occasionally the nerve connected to my cochlea, causing tinnitus and my auras, which are a whole other fun part of migraines. Stress headaches don;t cause auras. You don't know half the pain I get in a migraine, and I consider it an insult to hear the **** you are saying in this post. Hows about you go get run over by a freight train, because that is how I feel when I get a migraine. When you feel like chopping your head off to escape the pain, then you will understand. Saying that my migraines are not real are the same as saying that a person's deafness is not real.

PS: Yes, I know that was :topic:

I was in 6th grade from 1995 to 1996.

Point made. There weren't any laws against bringing your Bible to school at that time. Why don;t you do an experiment and observe a school lunch hour for a week or two, or maybe talk to Christian children who attend the school. Or maybe talk to the kids who go to my church and tried to start an after school Bible Study group on campus, AFTER the wiccan club had started. They were denied at Edward White High.

I made a mistake about the man (40 yrs old). No, I was wrong....in 1974, he was in 9th grade and his ears became hearing. Robert G... told Amy Wall's family about Saint Katherine Drexel. So, Amy started praying to Saint Katherine. She was born with nerve deafness in both ears. Then, she became hearing at age of 8. So, now Robert is around 45 yrs old or so. Amy should be around 16 yrs old or so.

Amazing!

CyberRed and JohnnyE-

Opps, I didn't see your two posts! Sorry!! :)

Two people are not my friends. I was reading the newspapers that my sister read and showed it to me. It is somewhere like Bethlehem, PA or Allentown, PA or Quakertown, PA. One is over 40 year old man and the other one is 8 year old girl. They drove to downtown Philadelphia where Saint Katharine is and they prayed and prayed for a very long time.

If you want me to find the link, I will be happy to find the link for you. They were on the local news tv.

I read the newspapers about them in about 5 years ago or maybe 6 years ago.

Let me know if u want the link.:)

Momoftwo:)

That's Bensalem, PA. Whew, finally I found the time to look for the links for you. Too busy for me today with my kids, pool, etc....too HOT outside!!:)

According to those links he was GOING deaf, he was not deaf, but rather his infection was so bad that if it continued as such he would go deaf.

So his infection stopped, and he didnt go deaf. He didnt 'cure' being deaf, or 'become' hearing.

As far as the girl who was born deaf is concerend, where are the medical case studies, those are what I want to see.

And I mean unbiased proof, all of the articles you listed are either publised by or spoken by someone biased towards it being a christian miracle.
