Fed-Ups...no not the postal joke

Ok, I got fed up and today I opened a can of whoop ass !!!!
In December 2014 I had my first cochlear surgery and ordered the CP910 without the ports, My second (Bi-Lateral) implant was March 2015 told to order the same processors. Well, I didnt know it at first other than the second set fit funny, then realized I had CP920's with the ports, WTF? I asked my Audi and she said they automatically order those now and they prefer them... Oh no no NO ! So I requested they be exchanged, which she said she would ask if they will. Every mapping I asked and still she says they havent heard back. Well, last mapping was the same and on top of that they were really off and again, I wasnt getting a call back to come back in to redo the mapping..... GRRR.
Ok, today. Im just fed up with the off-ish sounds and so I contacted cochlear directly and I laid down the hammer. They are sending me new CP910 processors in exchange for the CP920's. Now, There was no record of my Audi EVER requesting the exchange I asked for... ohhh someones gonna get an ass chewing. And I requested a rep several times and still....yep you guessed it, no such thing... ohhh more ass chewing.... Sooooooo, I also requested from Cochlear today, info for a new Audi, closer to home as well, Im tired of driving out there and they dont give a rats ass what I say? Yeah, you lost this ole boy today.

The Cochlear rep was awesome, They are very understanding and they werent happy about it either. It was too late to call my current audi tonight, but I will be calling them tomorrow to cancel my Febuary mapping and calling the new place to schedule.... and my old audi is gonna get a few choice words for sure.

It's really good you got them to fix everything.
 
I'm sorry that you had to go thru such aggravation but I'm glad you were able to get the problem solved. I hope things work out well with the new audi.

It was really simple, I cant see why the Audi didnt submit it and straight up lie to me about it, that just irks me to no end. Well, now not only do they need to answer to cochlear but also their boss when he gets word of it.
I normally dont complain, but I feel intimidated by them and so, I wont stay there now. Besides the new place will be a lot closer to home. I did travel almost an hour to them, the new place will be about 20 minutes max. I was more worried of cochlear saying that it was too late ( or if the audi was praying to max out the deadline to return them?) Im just all around upset that they lied to me and kept telling me they were waiting on a reply where cochlear told me they have no reports/requests at all.... wow Busted !
 
What is it with some people , I had to get a new audi too when the one I been going to for years had his wife and step daughter work with him.
I had a hearing send out to get repaired and was told it would take about a week . I waited more than week to get a phone call telling me to come in to get my HA. So I called the audi office and got his step daughter and asked if my HA came in yet and she said yeah about 2 or 3 days ago but she didn't feel like doing anything about it ! WT?! I was going to say something when I went there but I just found an other audi a lot closer to my home and told my old audi to fax over my hearing tests and paper , I got the lazyass step daughter and she said she would do it when she felt like it and I told her I needed it now ! I don't know people expect to stay in business when they treat their patients will so little respect .

when I had my spinal fusions, had the same issue with records. I went right to the office and demanded the copies. They said they would get them sent out??? I said, Thank you, I will be right over here waiting for them, how long will it take 5 or 10 minutes for copies? She looked at me dumbfounded, and I said again, Ill be waiting and I have other plans so they needed to get snappy, the office wasnt busy anyways. They had them in my hand in 2 minutes. I got copies of all my surgery info from first CI, and Im going to get copies of my second CI as well., for my personal safe keeping.

Yeah you really do needs to proactive when dealing with doctors , I got my hearing test faxed over when I said I needed it right away . When I change doctors I would go into their office and pick up my medical records and I would wait if I needed to . I wanted a copy for myself too if it was faxed over I may had not gotten everything from the new doctors.
I went to see a new doctor and they wanted me to sign some papers at the front desk without reading it and I told the woman I wanted to read it before I sign it. Boy was I glad I did ! It was written so anyone could in off the street and read your medial records ! I pointed this out to the woman and said " No it doesn't say that " I told her to read it and she I was right . The office had to rewrite the form over again !
People were signing it without reading it or didn't understand what it meant. I never sign anything until I read it and if I not sure what something means I ask.
 
Got my emailed confirmation that the New replacement processors will be here Thursday. Cochlear has the best customer service I have ever seen, they are polite and prompt.
 
Sometimes you've just gotta be firm about things. I hope all works out in the end!
 
I be furious most of these things should be on record.you the client they should honour and obey if they want earn a living..these things cost enough
 
I got confused about Audi with car brand but I got it now - it is audiologist.

I never liked audiologist when I was kid in 1990s.

Now, I will have to deal with private insurance about cover LINX band (metal implant to keep acid in stomach) and I know Medicare approved that - only cover 80%.

Yep, got them christmas eve and returned the others same day since they were collecting til 5pm....
Left one is correct model CP920, right one is the ones being returned CP910, also got the correct cables as well. Happy camper here.

I'm curious -- I'm assuming the CP920's are newer than the 910's, right? Just guessing based on the number (10 vs. 20.) If that's the case, will this cause problems down the road by needing adjustments to an older model?

no, the 910 has a port to plug into, the audiologist can "listen" to it.
The reason I didnt go with the port is... They dont hear what we hear. They can argue it all they want but the headphones are nothing like the electrodes period. But also due to my extreme sweating in the summers, its just another entry point for moisture. There are some accessories that will plug into them as well, but I chose to go 100% wireless anyways.
