We didn't have the TV on during the day, except for Saturday mornings. The rest of the time we were either doing homework, reading, playing indoors and out, or visiting friends and family. (Obviously we weren't playing any video games. )

I forgot to list Rin Tin Tin, Lassie, National Velvet, My Friend Flicka, Sgt. Preston of the Mounted Police, and The Foreign Legion. Also, the Addams Family (original) and the Munsters. Classic cartoons, Our Gang and Shirley Temple movies.

I also watched some of the others that have been listed but that was when I was getting into my teens. Then there was Star Trek, Time Tunnel, Monkees, etc.

We had Black & White TV's when I was born. After moving to Central Florida, my father got some kind of kit and built our color TV.

I can also remember when I was about 7 or 8 watching some soap opera on the B&W tv when I was home from school sick.

At the time, it was 3 channels only with a turn dial. You turned on the tv, waited about 5 minutes for it to warm up before you turned to the channel you wanted. We also were only allowed to watch the tv for 2 hours only. My parents were big on table games, card games, and family prayer at the kitchen table.

was my two dads aired in 1980s too ?

I loved many different shows in 80s. LOL too many to list. :)
