Targeting 'one' boy isn't the answer...that is, to consider taking him away from the care of his parent(s), especially where there may be many other cases and situations like his throughout the community and country. If the local council, social workers and any other functions really express genuine concerns for the boy's well being, then setting up programs that can be very helpful on a long term basis whereas the boy's health can be improved and lessen the chances of an health conflict that could pop up due to his condition...setting up ways that can assure the parent(s) can follow through. However, if such a case was shown where the parent(s) had no regard for the child's well being, then certain course of actions may be better served.
There are so many factors and unknown factors that can contribute to the boy's condition. Although, with the subject for which this thread covers, the boy will benefit with some outside help that can monitor his progress and be supportive toward the parent(s)....sure wish him the very best and go through peaceful means whereas it won't affect his mental/emotional state--that is if he were to be taken away.
