Fake hate crime claim...

I don't know why they are doing like that and couple's claim looks very fishy.

That's sad about some people abused the hate crime law and the state of Colorado has own hate crime law in their book.

Parker is part of Denver metro and looks safe place for gay couples to live and they don't live in Mississippi or other southern states that where hate crime against gay people are common than Colorado. I just want move back to California.

Hate crimes are essentially *thought* crimes- it's not bad enough to simply commit a crime, committing a thought crime raises the stakes. Hate crime laws (like many other poorly thought out laws) create and attract exploitation and corruption, they actually offer incentives for crying wolf- without really having any effect on the things it purports to hinder.

I agree. It's really an insidious concept that can be used eventually against free speech.

Not every states create equal when come with hate crime.

Montgomery rally to oppose gay violence | al.com

Alabama isn't same as other southern states because 2 men got charged as murder and sentence to life in nasty, overcrowded state prison, however in other state like in TN, when someone killed man because he's gay so they got lesser charge, especially misdemeanor, that's very injustice and unfair to victims. I couldn't find article about situation with gay man in TN and it was about 5-6 years ago, even few more articles that where I remember. I found article about unfair treatment below.

UPDATED: Savannah, Ga. LGBT leaders want misdemeanor charges in gay man?s beating upgraded to felony

I'm going ask my friend about try to find article about situation in TN and other states so I will update my post.

Look at it this way. They and you have a different perspective of what constitutes a hate crime. The justice system does too. I can give you many events of blacks committing a hate crime against a white but not charged as such. What we have today is a justice system that needs modifications for everyone.

uh.... so far.... just 1 fake hate crime...

and no you don't get charged with hate crime just for a thought. they do actually have physical evidence to charge you with. and by your logic, all laws are useless because it creates and attracts exploitation and corruption.

From what I assume on two thing...

The lesbian couple were bully by anti-gay. They decide to add story on how threat they did to the couple.

Or....

The lesbian couple want to have 15-min fame and make people said "oh poor you... I shall support you 1,000%, no matter!"
