I have developed an electronic device for exceptionally easy communication with non-deaf people. I ask all of you to please comment on the following questions regarding the 2 devices described below:
_________________________________________________________________
Questions:
1. Would you use either Of them? Would you carry it everywhere everyday?
2. How much (if any) would you be willing to pay out of pocket for each device?

***Your answers will decide if the devices are produce and made available
***Iam familiar with UbiDuo (they are too big, bulky, ugly, and way too expensive)

DEVICE #1

Its basically 2 identical devices that clasp together. They look like & open like a laptop. You can set it down and type like a laptop, or open it all the way and hold it in your hands and type with you thumbs.

-Pocket sized- 25% smaller than a DVD case & same thickness (Each device's diminsions should be D 4.5" X W 6" X no more than .625" thick

-under $200

-Instant on (upon opening the device) ----NO LOADING----

- You hand the other device to the other person and they should require NO INSTRUCTION on how to use it. so Basically you can hand it to an 85 year old woman and she automatically knows what to do with it.

-Both are wireless together. Characters are instantly displayed on the remote device as they are typed.

-Built-in TTY capability

-Voice-to-Text capability (with push button)

-Touchscreen for scrolling.

-Pre-defined messages w/ combo key press.
-Conversation save function

-Sliding switch to change font size

DEVICE #2

Same as above but only 1 single device you carry, & you hand it back and forth. It has the following features:

-After the screen is opened all the way, it folds on back and the screen orientation flips, so that the person standing in front of you can see what your typing, as your typing. You can see what you are typing via an LCD screen just above the keyboard.

sounds like something kokonut was pushing, but it was $2000..

and btw: i wont even buy that. I already have my smart phone

You need a time machine. If you get it, try to go back in 1998.

Not to mention, iPhone 4 beat you to it.

Thank you for thinking of us though. Good luck on whatever you do with your "device".
