General News - Exxon Mobil sets record with $45.2 billion profit

NO KIDDING? REALLY? SO LIKE GAS WAS SELLING FOR 15 CENTS IN KUWAIT WHEN MY BOYS WERE SHIPPED OVER SEAS, IS THAT 15 CENTS THE TRUE COST? PROBABLY SO SINCE THEY ANNOUNCE THAT TYPE OF PROFIT...YET IT IS DOWN SOME FROM PREVIOUS YEARS PROFIT? OBVIOUSLY IT IS A MATTER OF OWNERSHIP AND DEMAND.

ONE QUESTION: DOES THIS IRRITATE ANYONE ELSE OR JUST THIS CLOWN?

JUST NOTICED I WAS WRONG...IT IS 42.5 BILLION, YES BILLION. MY NOSE JUST FELL OFF!!![/B]

It happen in late 80s. So what? Gas will go up and down anytime. In 10 to 20 years, it will be rocket on gas.

I think you will need to ask one of mods to correct millions by replacing "m" with "b".

Yeah it is outrageous but it is a huge victory for their stock holders though.

Yeah I have a few stocks for gas. Show me the money! :D

Exxon sucks.

I'm usually fill at Shell, BP and rarely at Chevron.

What's wrong with a big business making a big profit? If you have something against them, say that rather than get mad for them being successful.

and Exxon don't support gay people either.

Yup, I does care about discrimination situation.

Not just for civil rights but it's about energy information.

Exxon don't have any information or offers different fuel instead of gas, they are just looking for make more money, Exxon said gas, diesel and oil, that all since Shell, BP and Chevron already provide an rich of information about different energy source and offers alternative fuel.

Exxon station in my area is so 80's and very crappy.

So, you enjoyed paying $5.00 a gallon for gas while their CEOs basked in comfort?

Nobody forces anyone to buy a gasoline car, and CEOs naturally get paid so much because they do a hard job that few people want/can do. If I took on a job that so few people were qualified for, devoted most of my waking life to it, got paid millions annually so that I could do who knows what, and people wanted me to sacrifice everything I earned so that their gas prices could be slightly cheaper, I'd tell them to piss off.

(The last recorded pay of exxon-mobil CEO was 21.7 million USD total. If he sacrificed most of his paycheck to subsidize the billions of gallons of gasoline that they sell annually, I'd fall out of my chair if it even changed their prices by more than 4/5 cents.)

Oh, pu-leeze! The gas companies have our arses over a barrel, and they are reaming them without benefit of lubrication.
