At the moment, I use ThickWall tubing which is 3.1mm and I get a huge amount of feedback with well fitting ear molds.

I just found out that there is such thing as Extra ThickWall which is 4mm.

Anyone use this and find it good and better then ThickWall tubing?

Think I'm gonna order some.

The extra-thick DOES make a difference in feedback. I use the extra-thick now. It was something new I learned the last time I ordered tubing a few months ago.

Where is everyone buying this tubing from? Also, does anyone have a kit they recommend?

I'm gonna ask my Audi on Wednesday about extra Thickwall tubing. Have to wait that long for an appointment. Sigh! :(

Maybe AlleyCat would know as she has already used the stuff.

What do you mean by a 'kit'?

I will post the product info when I get home from work. I can't remember at the immediate moment. I order this all online, plus other accessories.

This isn't the website I last ordered from, but here's a sample:

The extra-thick that I do order is always #13. Look at this for example:

TUBING

You can pick single, double or heavy wall. (Don't pick the single, IMO.)

I also bought this tube spreader and LOVE IT !! But I didn't pay this price. I paid less. Again, I have to get the website info at home. Anyway, this really helps to get the tube onto the HA. Worth every penny! (I used to use a fork prong to widen tubes until that drove me crazy  this tube spreader is SO worth it!)

What kind of a "kit" are you looking for?

Tubing, spreaders, etc? You can find that online at any HA site (check out the link I posted above, for example.)

Microsonic is where I last bought my stuff.

Microsonic, Inc.

I bought the tube spreader there (it's $28.50 now, I think that's what I paid before.) It's here: Tubing Expander

I also bought my tubes here, but I cannot remember what I paid for them last. A box of 10 is $9.50 -- it feels like it cost less before. I bought the #13 Thick.

EDIT: Here is the link when I first posted about this: http://www.alldeaf.com/general-chat/85762-what-did-you-do-today-140.html#post1872660 It seems as if prices may have gone up a bit. :(

Yes that's it. :)

I'll check that out. Thanks.

I think extra Thickwall is even thicker then the ones you've bought - internal 2mm/external 4mm.

Thickwall is - internal 2mm/external 3.1mm.

This extra Thickwall is 0.9mm more in thickness then the standard Thickwall.

I used to order tubing from Lloyd's.

What exactly is the tube spreader for? My molds have a tube lock and I just have to push the tube into the mold and the lock grabs it.

Spreader opens the top of the tubing to make it easier to get onto the earhook.
