Hello all, I am new to this site and I was referred to this site by a deaf friend.

Personal: I am 21 years old from Austin, TX. I am born deaf and I know ASL. My family is deaf. My little sister and twins brothers are hearing. Too bad they are not gamers.

My History: I have been playing WoW for 2 years and this November 1st 2008 will be 3rd year of playing WoW. Counter Strike Source for about a year and half. Before WoW i played my first MMORPG game would be Runescape then Knight Online then now WoW. My first PC gaming would be ARC (Attack, Retrieve, Capture) used to be own by Sierra till they decided to close it due to not making enough money from it and less people than other games that they created. ARC is now called CodeMallet Entertainment owned by Spark HQ (This HQ bought ARC from Sierra and started its own).

Gaming: I am heavily MMORPG player and a FPS game like CSS (Counter Strike Source). For MMORPG i play WoW and I have Alliance characters in Hellscream US realm:

Wargirl - 70 Warrior (Main - Prot)
Puresham - 70 Shaman (Enhancement)
Purèlock - 70 Warlock (Affliction)
Purehunter - 70 Hunter (BM)
Purez - 70 Druid (Feral)
Magez - 62 Mage (Frost)
Saiyanz - 45 Paladin (Ret)
Purepriest - 40 Priest (Shadow)
Purerogue - 19 Rogue (Combat)

P.S. Yes, I know I have spent a lot of my time into WoW. I use Xfire to contact with friends. Xfire is same as AIM but allow u to chat with ur friends overlay the games instead of minimize the game. Xfire - Gaming Simplified (My username on xfire is exoriax add me if u created an account on xfire.)
 
Welcome, Exo. I'm so impressed that you can play a complicated game and messenger at the same time. The ability to multitask on computers has always awed me. Sometimes I have to take a break to breathe when I'm keyboarding.

if you like squad based action and have a ps2 or 3 you should try out Socom combined assault
Yes it is a game where you can communitcate with a mic during the game but inbetween you can use a usb keyboard to text. It's nice cause then you don't have to listen to the noobs trash talk each other.
Once you get the gist of the maps and how they are played you don't need to talk to people.
 
Actually, funny thing about SOCOM is that my buddy and I set up a VP connection so we could see each other on video on another TV while playing. It's simultaenously cool and funny -- I've died a few times looking away trying to understand what he's saying. Needs a picture in picture mode.

Geez, man, it looks like you could've taken all that time gaming and went to college and gotten a degree!

I play games everyday about 10 hours per day not constantly though, I do take break to eat and drink sometimes go out with family but at most of time I'll be at home gaming.

Sorry, I don't have interests into consoles anymore. I have been playing console since 4 years old... I am tired of it and graphic isn't good even Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii. PC is the best. But, yes I have played Socom the part one on PS2. It is cool but not my favorite.

I am in college now took a lot of my time in gaming of course but this is my 2nd semester. I am thinking about finding a job after this 2nd semester or stay till I get a certification in major of A plus (Computer Repair).

To all: I have been playing new game: Team Fortress 2 now and is the best FPS game ever, of course on PC. I play WoW and TF2 at most of time now.

10 hours a day?

24 hours a day minus 10 hours of gaming minus 8 hours of sleep equals 6 hours remaining for whatever is left. Don't you work? :(

No, I don't have a job yet but hopefully soon.

I need money to upgrade my computer. :cool:

Would love to play WoW, but it would take me forever to download the game on my crappy internet connection = apparently 5 hours for 700 bloody MB's!

I'm not really a PC gamer, more of a console gamer with Xbox live and PSN so I dont know if you have those.

I sure love Grand Theft Auto IV and Call of Duty : World at War on PS3...mulitplayer kick ass. :P

...and no, I dont play games 10 hours a day. -_- I got other things to do.
 
:welcome: to AllDeaf forum. I hope you have fun reading and posting all the threads more than the gaming which take a lot of time out of you to have a life. You need to get out more often to meet deaf people and friends plus your time to be with your family. Ten hours is way too much so take a lot of time off from that. I know it is your choice.
