Piano means nothing.

Bring on the brass.

The video part, not the sound, that's amusing I'm referring to. I didn't even bother with the volume on those when I included them. Not much to hear anyway I suspected. :giggle:

Well, I don't like seeing animals in pain, but the OP's video was obviously a joke and meant to be funny. It sort of had a German type humor in there and was a bit funny.

I am sure, if you try hard enough, you can find this one to be offensive too ;) :

lol!!! loved this commercial long time ago but curious - would it still be funny at the end if the father got fed up and beheaded the kid? (fake of course)

ummm, I am sure if I try really hard, I could make it funny. Not sure how I would though.

I would have to meditate on that one .... :hmm:

Seen the OP's video in like.. talking internet years, quite a long time ago. Must've taken an U turn to some latecomers on the internet or the cave guys are catching on.

Even Snopes had a farking article about the insensitivity. If you can't see it, you're either daft or have a really twisted sense of humor.

Let me take a second to dig it up.. I don't think anyone argues with snopes now do they?

How could one of the world's leading automobile manufacturers be so out of touch with the public sensibilities to think that a clip showing one of its cars slicing off a cat's head would be effective (or even an acceptable) advertisement? Sometimes companies are willing to embrace the outrageous for publicity's sake, but it's hard to tell what Ford was thinking in this case — the controversy has prompted the familiar response (used by Nokia last year to disclaim a similar clip) of blaming an advertising agency for going ahead with a concept the client didn't approve and proclaiming shock that the concept was fully developed into a finished spot anyway (and then somehow "leaked" to the Internet):

good question, right? (even though it's fake) :hmm:

Even Ford and Ogilivy apologized for these videos:

Ford Disavows Cat Decapitation Ad - CBS News

We find this unauthorized ad totally unacceptable and reprehensible and deplore the fact that it has been unofficially issued,” Ford spokesman Oscar Suris said.

In a statement, Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide said the unapproved and unofficial video clip was leaked April 1 and transmitted by e-mail around the world. The company said the ad wasn't sanctioned by Ogilvy or Ford.

Both companies find this unofficial advertisement totally unacceptable and reprehensible,” the statement said. “The action in the video clip was totally computer-generated, and we would like to assure you that no animal was harmed in its making.

They (Ford/Sportka) apologized. Are others still holding onto lost hope that they will take their apologies back?

Yeah if that kid got beheaded, that'd make it funny don't ya think? Put it up on national tv, everyone will be sure to laugh

no .... to make something funny, you have to make it comical. Its like Steve Martin once said "Comedy is the ability to make someone laugh without making them throw up at the same time"

Maybe add this one to "1001 Ways to 'Kill' a Fake Cat"?

More like, 404 humor indeterminate. I could see +1 to digital animal beheadings would work though.

By George! I've got it!

The kid starts screaming and fussing like in the video ..... then a samurai raccoon walks in, lops the kids head off, turns to the dad and talks in raccoon language (with subtitles) and says

"You silly humans need to wear condoms"

then walks away with 3 tiny pup raccoons in ninja outfits ... all perfectly behaved.

As they are walking away, the Samurai raccoon tells his kids .... "That's what happened to your oldest brother when he screamed for sweeties too ....."

I didn't say digital, I said fake cat. Maybe a stuffed cat, for example? A drawn cartoon cat? Whatever. And there are more than one ways of "killing" a fake cat.

addendum: although I've seen a live beheading of an oxen on some island out in . Not for the squeamish though it was a religious rite of some sort.

as you stated before - it was funny to you. so for fake baby. maybe a stuffed baby. drawn cartoon baby. would it still be funny to you anyway?

I know.. but isn't this digital? The company press released statements saying that it was purely computer animated, thus implying it's rendered in virtual reality.

I mean come on, the name doesn't need to be specific for digital or fake or animated.. whatever you want it jeez!
