MIFI = hotspot as share tether over wifi.

MiFi stands for ‘My Wi-Fi’

Don't ask me why company choose that word but I like to type MiFi because it's short word.

Verizon Wireless has announced that it will be introducing Novatel Wireless’ MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot on May 17, 2009.
MiFi stands for ‘My Wi-Fi’ and is a portable Wi-B (News - Alert) device with a small footprint that magically combines the functions of a wireless modem, access point and router, and has built in CDMA and Wi-Fi antennas.

FaceTime over 3G video was not choppy because my reception was very good in my area. It s better than Fring and iMovicha. Fring and iMovicha video are worse and choppy. Jake, don't install Jailbreakme in your iPhone now till will update iOS 4.1 next week. I'll wait for the Dev team to release something and see what happens with a jailbreak.

Someone said Mifi stand for "My Wifi". So I disagree .

Mifi stands for Mobile WiFi. I had the previous HD2, read owner's manual says Mifi stands for "Mobile Wifi". EVO, HD2 and Droid X which can convert to wifi router by itself. here's good example-

I bet you read "MiFi® Intelligent Mobile Hotspot" then you got wrong idea as "Mobile WiFi"
 
FaceTime headed to Mac, Windows?

Mac4Ever rumors today that Apple’s FaceTime video calling will be coming not only to the Mac in the form of an iChat update, but also to Windows.
While they don’t suggest how it would work on Windows, FaceTime is built on open standards and has been released as an open standard. So we could see it integrated by existing services like Skype, Microsoft could build it into their IM client, or — hey — it’s about the only thing Apple hasn’t built into iTunes yet, right?
Currently FaceTime is limited to iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4, getting it beyond iOS and mobile and onto the desktop could help not only spread the technology but increase its usefulness.

I hope that Apple is certainly expected to turn in FaceTime software version for Mac and PC from settling down in iChat.

I had used Fring video chatting from iPhone 4 to Skype on Mac or PC last few month. Video is fair but Skype had blocked Fring app in iPhone without license.

That might mean it will open video phone chats with sorenson, purple, etc. If there is an ip address or something to connect.
