English Brides angry for leave shop of gowns!

I agree that it was wrong of the brides to act like that. I think it's not right that the owner did not make sure to call every bride and let them know and refund their money.

I think it's better to keep weddings simple.

:)

You can use it in your profession! :giggle:

Thanks! I will. Rolls off the tongue much better than "delusional thought processes with egocentric tendencies.":giggle: Perhaps we will collaborate on a professional paper detailing the criteria for diagnosis of this newfound syndrome!

 Glad to help. I'll get you the caramel macchiato while we are working on it......

Criteria for "Disney Syndrome":

1. Outburst of anger.

2. Outburst of tears

3. In debt.

4. Not realistic when said, " It's my wedding day! Everyone is suppose to pay attention to me! "

5. Thinking that the more elaborate the wedding is, the better the marriage will be.

6. Unrealistic demands of the wedding.

What else?????

The belief that all of your friends and relatives attend these outrageous events because they actually give a damn, rather than because they feel they are obligated to, and would much prefer to be elsewhere actually enjoying themselves!

If they spent their time concentrating on the actual marraige instead of on all the show and ceremony, they'd be a heck of a lot better off, jmo.
True.

My wedding was short, sweet, simple, small, and low budget. My marriage has been long-lasting and wonderful. My wedding dress was less than $30 and is gone but my marriage has lasted more than 30 years, and is still going strong. :)

Apparently you got that message!

"Loved the wedding. Now invite me into your marriage--God"

For some reason, it makes me uncomfortable to read articles on wedding planners. Wedding planners cost money. I think they are resourceful if you're rich.

dont miss watch on WETV show of brideszilla

Gee, This is kinda overrated when these brides-to-be are making such threats to the point of harassing the owner of the store.

Well, I can understand that they are upset because they weren't informed of the closure of the stores but at the same time, it can be settled one way or another instead of turning it into a violent manner.

What's wrong with going to another store? It's not like it's the end of the world when one store closes down. There are tons of bridal stores out there.

So, yeah, a wedding is not meant to be focused on how extravagant it is but to be focused on a couple whom are uniting on a special day and for the years to come.

I agree.

I don't care how a wedding looks. All I care about is that they bride and the groom love each other.

In fact, I went to a wedding where they provided ribs! YUM!

Just think how many big, beautiful, fairy tale weddings end in divorce. I guess, somehow, we raise our daughters to believe in fantasy. Reality hits after the party, and they can't handle the normal hardships any relationship goes through. What is more important: being Queen for a few hours, or having an enduring relationship with a partner that will be there even when you ain't lookin' so pretty?

True, that's why I encouraged my 3 adult children to elope! ... wouldn't worry me!

The kids have said they wouldn't mind having their weddings in our backyard and have a BBQ! ... I don't see why not, I'm all for it!

Yeah, I'm the same way too. A wedding can be kept on a simple level. It doesn't mean that it has to be the hype but yeah, if I were to get married - I'd just want a simple wedding where it can be nice but nothing fancy of any sort.

Sounds like a wonderful plan for a wedding to me!

Most of wedding was free thanks to the support of our families and friends. It was a beautiful wedding of around 40 people, small and intimate. Food was fabulous! The reception was awesome. It was such a memorable event for me even when it's small and it was still lavish for me, gorgeous!
