If you know them on FaceBook or another site, you can try there as well.

Only active members who have logged on AllDeaf and have made at least 100 quality posts, are eligible to enter this contest. The rest of you who are not qualified, you still have a chance to participate in AD contests if you start contributing quality posts now.

Who decides what is a quality post and what are the criteria?
 
As long as your post are over 100.
Or if you are under 100 and your posts are not obvious spam type postcount then you are fine. :)

So why put they need 100 "quality" posts? What was the idea behind that?

Because, the contests here are designed to serve the honest participating members of the forum. What if someone just registered today, posted "Hello" and "hi" 100 times in the introduction just so they could get a chance at a prize? That is what is meant by spam-like non-quality posts.
Do you feel that is that fair for other contestants? ;)
 
Basically the game is it is to PM or FB/email/text etc an old AD'er who hasn't posted in awhile (~1 year). Say hello to them, catch up or meet some new AD'er you never got to talk to before but you wanted to. Have them also post in here saying for ex "Shel90 bring me back :)" when they are back here. You get points (in post #1 how many per each person)

But I'm second thinking if this is too hard or makes it complicated. Should I lessen the date? Like someone who hasn't posted since May-01-2011. This would increase the amount of people who can participate and play. You guys tell me :dunno:

Nah, I think one year or greater is good. Less than that would be too easy. Make it somewhat difficult, and let's see some faces come out of the woodwork.

This game is a bit confusing.

I met a few of ADers in the past and most recent was Tweetybird.

So can you please explain more clear?

LT, I think it was hard to explain the game. I'll try this way:
If you get TweetyBird to come AD and post here this topic, you will get 10 points. Tweetybird is 2003 member.

She hasn't posted after December-01 2010 last year so she is missing Old AD member.

The game is find as many Old AD member as you can and the most wins the prize. Online AD friend is OK. :)

like stalking those old aders whoever you used to know them and they dont come anymore. So thereofre, i let them know to come back to AD and have them say something in their posts? So what will they do if they didnt know what to say in alldeaf?

I think they can just say anything and say hello, and make a small chat. But I don't think anybody expect ol' AD'ers stay here for longer. I suppose that older members can just come visit here for short time.

That is what I think.
 
Yes I see the point, a hello I'm back somewhere is fine. If they name who bring them back then get the points.

I'm thinking any topic is fine, doesn't have to be here. As long we see the post then it is ok. How about that?
