Here's a suggestion.... don't bid till the last minute. You're only causing yourself to pay more if you keep bidding.
Yep, he's right. Sometimes, bidding at the last minute helps. It happened to me a few times. There was a rare Transformer that I wanted and I bid on it early. A few days later, I noticed that someone outbid me. I decided to up the bid again. With only a hour left, I noticed I was outbid again. My first bid was $8. My final winning bid was $20. Later, I decided to wait until the last minute. There was another rare Transformer that I wanted. I waited until the last few minutes of the auction. With only two minutes left, I made my bid and no one was around to outbid me... whew! This time, I only bid $10. The first Transformer I paid $20 for was actually $50 on the market. The second Transformer I paid $10 for was actually $30 on the market. Boy, talk about big savings! :)

Well i will try again if they still have those wagon wheel light fixtures..i will try harder this time and i guess patience does pay..it was my hubby that did it the last time and he got pissed off..ofc he dont have any patience at all..geez! thanks for the advice all!

Hey bbnt is it better tou buy cell phone on e bay than threw Cingular or something ?

I sell on e-bay and sometimes buy from e-bay and even got my newer Mac from e-bay last year, so far working good. :D.

It's a good place to find collectibles. If you like Monopoly, you're sure to find special editions of something you like. I have friends who like Corvette or Mustang cars. They have those editions... cheap! It beats having to pay $50 in most stores!

oh yea.. i won 3 things.. tweety bird for tongue pericing, rainbow watch fossil, and rainbow tongue percing.. winkz.. i will send this week, i did paid for tweety bird, now 2 more things to send this week!!! ;)

We buy mostly hard-to-find items, such as classic toys, specific decor pieces, out-of-print books, CDs (new, unopened), and equipment for our business. I compare prices first, figure in the shipping, then make my bid below what I would be willing to pay retail. I agree with the tip to not bid too early.

The largest and most expensive item we bought was a fully-loaded, custom commercial van for our business. It was nerve-wracking to spend thousands of dollars for something like that out of state, but it turned out very well. We did our research ahead of time, contacted the seller by email and phone, and everything was fine.

I have never sold anything on ebay but my brother does, and he says he makes a nice profit "selling old junk", ha, ha.

i usually buy lesbain stuff and Deaf related stuff with understanding RARE stuff not them cheapies but im right now looking for a book that was written by ken norton, So i can get that damn book for my collection :) heh

I Love Ebay

Hi I mostly sell on ebay. I am a glass bead maker and sell mostly signlanguage beads. I use to sell machine embroidered sign language quilt squares of a-z and the ILY sign. People would take the squares and make a quilt with it. There are some really cool abc sign language quilts out there.I use to also make sign language clothing too, embroider the ILY design and make a purse, dress, pants but I dont sew much anymore. My torch keeps callin mt name to melt glass and make beads. I did buy my share of stuff on ebay mostly beads and comic action figures, anything with fairies, mermaids. Ebay has slowed down alot so I dont list as much as I use to. I do mostly bead, art, and craft shows now. I do want to machine embroider some more sign language quilt squares and make a quilt with them I bet a abc sign language quilt would sell good on ebay.

got this email from my mother, thought I should let people on here knows. I love to buy things from ebay... but now Im gonna have to be extra careful, and try not to buy anything awhile. until things settles down or whatever.
email I got in mail :
UPS Uniforms

Government Warning regarding purchase of UPS uniforms:
There has been a huge purchase, $32,000 worth, of United Parcel Service
(UPS) uniforms on eBay over the last 30 days. This could represent a
serious threat as bogus drivers (terrorists) can drop off anything to anyone
with deadly consequences! If you have ANY questions when a UPS driver
appears at your door, they should be able to furnish VALID I.D
Additionally, if someone in a UPS uniform comes to make a drop off or pick
up, make absolutely sure they are driving a UPS truck. UPS doesn't make
deliveries or pickups in anything, except a company vehicle
If you have a problem, IMMEDIATELY call your local law enforcement agency
right away!
TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY! Tell everyone in your office, your family, your
friends, etc. Make people aware so that we can prepare and/or avoid
terrorist attacks on our people! Thank you for your time in reviewing this
and PLEASE send to EVERYONE on your list, even if they are friend or foe. We
should all be aware!
