Earthquake hits Hawaii

oh yes, i did to hear abt those Hawaii. i hope there will all ok.
 
JP & HiB: I'm glad to know you gals and your furbabies are ok. What a shock reading about the earthquake in Hawaii! Do you know if the earthquake hit other islands, too?
 
ALL islands were hit small damages in ohau ALL poiwers were out... not only that.... Several road closures and Ohau airports were shut down... but BIG ISLAND was hit the hardest, Ohau lost ALL power for nearly a day... airports didnt have thier power until 6 pm so it has been a wild ride !

EpicCenter was Kona and Ohau felt abt the lesser of what big island felt OMG

6.6 and i wake up to this???????? geeeeeeeeee

came home to find my room in a disarray but its ok those are replaceable but we're not and we re ok! HUGS all thanks for askign

peachy no im not without power but ohau island and maui and kauai is .. so its hard on them.

The quake was centered about Northwest offshore of Big Island, there wasn't any tsunami reports. I saw the damage from the quake was pretty bad enough to take a while to repair.

seq it ll take about 2 to 5 yrs before anything's repaired... and its election year so eh.

as for the roadways wamiea to hilo is closed too many sinkholes. and for kohala to kona, its halfway open thier getting bulldozers out to move those boulders EH...

and for here in the puna district we ( leleani and Nanawale subdivision) were ok with power and rest were not ok, and same for hilo we were ok with pwr but not ok with traffic EH

So thats the gist of it all
don't drive unless u know u have to go thats the advice... So thats fine i still have to go,

so going to bed gotta get up may have to do some CERT work tomorrow...

Oh dear!!! yes I heard about this... I thought about you and your girlfriend, Javapride when I saw on TV. I'm glad to know that you both are okay... :hug;
 
now I just saw this thread.. glad to know u java and your gf is doing good.. ;) just take it easy tho.. :hug:
 
What if a tsunami attacks Hawaii led by an earthquake as acutely as what had happened 2 years ago around Indian Ocean?
