I have had this slight ear pain on and off all day at the top of my ear i dont know what this is. anyone have any ideas?

Could it be from your hearing aid? Does this happen when you put your hearing aid on?

If this is the case, you need to see your audiologist.

When I wore hearing aids, the tip of my ear would get inflammed when I needed to have my earmolds replaced. It just meant that my earmolds got too stiff & needed to be replaced with softer ones. Age does stiffen up the earmolds.

I dont have an aid in that ear, i have a implant in that ear but iv not worn it all day plus i do not have a mould on that ear too

yes, you are right! it cause infection and need one medicine liquid into ear, before lie on the bed.

yes. if that's the case, deafteen really should be seen by a doctor immediately. you don't want to wait until the pain worsens since it can cause permanent damage to the eardrum and further hearing loss. (i know this from personal experience.)

On top of the ear lobe?

Could be a pimple on the lobe.

But if you have a CI. I would see a Dr and let them dianose you.

That's what I was thinking to.

Does it hurt when you touch it?

It could be a pimple or something.

yeaaah, when my right ear got very painful. My dad in law looks into my ear. he is doctor. anyway, he says my ear got infection. I can't sleep with my right ear on pillow. that was worse!! If my finger touched on my ear *ouch* But i am deaf. I don't think, so become hearing loss. ;)

ouch! i know how that is. i can still remember one of the most painful ear infections i had when i was 16. i was spending the week at my boyfriend's house when i suddenly started experiencing severe pain and ringing in my left ear. my boyfriend asked if i wanted to go to the er, but i said no and coped with the pain as best i could. that turned out to be a huge mistake because after i arrived back into town and saw my ent, he said i lost a good bit of hearing because my eardrum burst. :(

i had ear pains lots when i was little girls and my mom took me to dr's office for check-up and get medicine for that.

im been using hearing aids when i was little girls but my mom hardly pay for that every years and my mom no longer to pay hearing aids monthly but i hardly to hear what people says.

*sighs* i now have slight ear pain inside my ear, i wonder what this is, it comes and goes all day

Referred pain.

It's something that causes pain because something else is stirring up inside you. If it's just a day, it's nothing to worry about, but if it's over a week, tsk. I dunno. I'm no doctor, but it might be something. If it's over 2 weeks, dude, what are you doing? Living with pain? Go to ER already.

Can you explain more about referred pain?

It shouldn't be serious. Since it's just a day. But it's possible that sometime else is hurting, but you're feeling pain somewhere else. If you get full check up from the doctor, they might find something, but it's also possible that it's nothing. Just some junk food going through your body. Who knows.
