So, I got an ear mold three days ago from a new audiologist (I just moved) and I’m already noticing issues.
It’s a silicone based, half-shell ear mold (which I’ve gotten in the past), but this time, the ear mold cane with a vent which I’ve never had.
I’m wondering if it’s causing the first issue… When I first put my HA on with my new ear mold, I immediately noticed that it sounded echo-y. The audiologist said that was because it was creating a better seal than I’ve had in my previous ear molds…
Also, I’m hearing constant ringing inside my ears (tinnitus) which I usually only get when I’m sick, and I’m not currently. It’s driving me mad.
The last and most confusing issue is that I feel like I’m having such a harder time understanding people but my husband feels that I can actually hear better than I did.
What gives?
