Ear Mold impressions with a 'mild' infection okay?

I've had SO many different antibiotics since September, they've tried drops and tablets.

They seem to clear them up some of the antibiotics but within days the infection is back, so they have tried putting me on longer antibiotics and again back within days.

My Audi wouldn't do me a right impression as he said I have infection still in that ear :(

My docs haven't taken a swap to see what the infection is.

These infections have been nothing like my other infections. All they are, is red roar skin so discharge or anything.

Could be possible the moulds are too tight and stretching the canal?

I never cleaned every day, ear 'grease' is natural and helps slide the mould in.

Is it possible for you to go a few days without wearing your hearing aids, see if that helps with the infections? Usually when I have a very sore ear or infection, I keep the hearing aid off until it's better, as the earmold usually irritates the infection/sore more (at least it does for me).

When I don't wear my HAs, my ears get even more dry, red and sore because of the air I think.

I went a week wearing no aids at all and I was in so much pain every time I spoke or yawn etc. I then put my aids in as not wearing them wasn't helping and within half hour, they were so much better but not 100% better.

I've worn molds all my life and I'm always a little bit sweaty inside the ear coz of the mold and I wonder whether the time of year is not helping my ears but again nothing like this has happened before.

weird. I just can't stand to have the earmold in my ear when it's sore or infected so I go without for a couple of days. Hope your ears get better!

Ear infections have now gone after using Savlon for a week or so.

For years, I used the Phonak cleansing tablets and I guess that wasn't enough.

I guess the problem I was having when I didn't wear my molds, was my ears are not used to having the cold air to them, so made the infections worse.

Will always use Savlon now especially as it doesn't damage silicone molds :)
