Duggars Family... When Will It End?

I don't think there is any force, per se, at work. Religious brainwashing, perhaps.

And isnt it part of the religion that believes the man is the castle of the house and the woman is supposed to be obedient to her husband?

If Michelle continues to have more kids into her 40s or even 50s, then it probably shows delusion on her part. I dont know if her husband is forcing her to have all these children cuz he seems to be the king of his castle.
Yep!

Think of Andrea Yates... multiplied by four!

Yes. But if she believes that doctrine, too, then he isn't forcing her into anything. She is doing what she believes she should do. I know its difficult to grasp, in this day and time, that people actually believe that, but some do.

I have no idea about Duggrars Family would be complete with children. Michelle is 41 years old now. She might get more. Who know.

I don't read whole this thread. It waste my time to read.

Was that her diagnosis? I also heard she could have been schizo-affective or even bipolar with psychotic features?

Andrea Yates was diagnosed with postpartum depression and psychosis and had been hospitalized four times.

According to the article:

http://www.healthyplace.com/Communities/depression/postpartum_depression_3.asp

"They looked like a big happy family with four boys and a baby girl. But according to her medical records, Andrea Yates had a history of postpartum depression and psychosis. She had been hospitalized four times, most recently, last year in March and May following the birth of her youngest child, Mary."

Thank you. I heard different things in the media regarding her diagnosis.

I wonder if she could have had all 3 diagnoses? After all, I know it's possible for someone to have a primary diagnosis of Bipolar I with Psychotic Features and a secondary diagnosis of Schizoaffective (as is true in my case).

Yep... I can believe some people will believe in such things as I've run into such people during my VSDB (in Staunton) days; one dorm supervisor believed in speaking in tounges and another one had fundie beliefs. Both of them were hearing too.

I grew up Southern Baptsit too. Even many moderate Baptsits believe women should sumit to men even if they don't take the bible (like the orgins of the Earth) literally.

Those kind of people scare me.

Yesterday at the Deaf Awareness Festival, some baptist deaf church was passing out Chick tracts. Every time I passed by their booth to get to out of the pavilion, I had a Chick tract shoved in my face. Ugh. I was like "no thanks" and quickly got away from them every time. After the first couple times, I started taking a different way out of the pavilion just to avoid that booth. I don't appreciate having such crap shoved in my face.

And rightly so. I tend to be leery of such types after my experiences with both the fundie and the pentecoastal and I'd have done the same as you if I were dealing with that Deaf Chuch passing out Chick tracts. I don't like in your face tactics.

So many children could have gone to those gay/lesbian loving parents if it were permitted. Those children in foster care need a home and loving permanent parents more than the Duggars needing to give birth to so many kids. They didn't adopt ANY kid, and it makes me feel like they don't want the "damaged" kids. They want their own perfect kids. When I was in foster care, I wanted so badly to be adopted and not have to live in hellholes that some of my foster homes were. Only two were good foster homes. I wanted to be loved, be taken care of, and not be abused and neglected (I was abused and neglected by my dad and his wife), and not to bounce around many strange foster homes and a horrible children's home. It's not fair. What about us?

I was thinking the same thing. There are a lot of foster kids that need help and attention.

Yes, I think the same thing... I repeated the same thing what you said in my several posts here and other Duggar threads.

I feel that Duggars are media attention...

From read Duggar's websites.

Her husband said that he don't mind if his wife want to continue to have more babies... He respect and fulfill his wife's wish... :dunno2:

The reporter ask Michelle's husband in clinic... Do you want to have more babies? Her husband replied: Ask her... Michelle replied YES with laugh impression... Her husband laughed and agreed with her....

To me, I think it's something do with addiction... in love being pregnant... addict more pregnancies...? I think Michelle need the help...

She's only just doing it to please the "God", and for NO other reason. That's part of the Quiverfull's religious beliefs. Honestly, I do not see how having so many children and contributing to the overpopulation of this planet would please "God". I guess to the Quiverfulls, women are only good for popping out 238642836482648236482764286428364823 children til their uterus and reproductive system gives up on them. That is sad.

Yes, She said that she blame birth control after her first miscarriage and decided to not use birth control because her womb is open as a gift for God...
