 at media's titling of this incident - "A 4-year-old girl is badly mauled by a dog and the horrific attack is caught on surveillance video. WABC reports."
I don't know about you but when a child was treated for puncture wounds on her right arm and leg and released from a local hospital... that is nowhere close to "badly mauled".
"Badly mauled" would require several days at hospital and surgeries including plastic surgeon and a dog would be taken away by animal control and put to death and the owner would be arrested.
Permanently injured means that he can't have sex anymore. He got $50k for that? Not enough.True Jiro - It looked like this child was being mauled, but luckily did not suffer the damages of being mauled. We have a neighbor whose dog was put down by animal control after a quarantine period. The dog got out of the yard, went tearing across the street, literally mauled another dog to death and then bit the dead dog's owner in the groin area with enough damage that he is permanently injured. This guy just won a court case against the guilty dog's owner of $50,000. Dog was not up to date on shots, dog was not registered with the Town Hall as a possible vicious dog, and the damage done to the deceased dog was so horrific, that members of the jury and the judge were visibly shaken and some got sick. Not going to say here how bad it was. Let's just say, the one that died, was actually bigger than the aggressive one. The owner of the aggressive one has shown no remorse and basically her only comments were, "why did my dog have to be put down. I had her in the yard." Yeah, she may have been in the yard, but it has been proven that the fence was not secure enough. My dog can get through it.
Oh, and the above story I said here, not a one was a pit bull. The deceased was a full blood German Shepherd and the aggressive one, was a Husky.
Permanently injured means that he can't have sex anymore. He got $50k for that? Not enough.
still not enough $$$$He's not worried about that as he had a different injury to a different part of the body that made sex hard enough as it was. He is a Sheriff's Officer who was injured in the line of duty and on disability.
So what about a lawsuit?A friend of mines sister had 3 small kids, they were playing in front of the house and a neighbors dog attacked the youngest. She had reconstructive surgery to her face where it ripped her face opened from her neck to her eye, across her cheek, like a letter Y... the dog was put down by the health officials as a threat since the dog attack was not provoked.
Yes, they sued the owner of the dog. The dog was put down, all the medical bills were paid and I don't know how much they settled for as she was very young (5 or 6 years old) her scares are not noticeable from the plastic surgery, but you can still see the marks in her skin coloration. So what about a lawsuit?
I don't know why you guys are saying that isn't a pit. It looks like one to me. Specifically, it looks like an American Pitbull terrier.
Like this...
 its fur is way wrong to be a pittie im aroud them often,
it looked like a shepherd mix if not lab or husky in it
Andrew Candeler is one of several people who tried to tear the pit bull away and eventually helped rescue the young victim.
This article states this is a pitbull.
Good Samaritan Andrew Candeler relives dog attack of 4-year-old girl on Webster Avenue
its not a real pit bull look at dog fight vids the pit dont attack like that, once they have a bite they dont let go this was more of shepherd or atika or husky look at its tail its was wrong same with its back legs a pit does not have that leg structure. abc news not writing down the dog as pit in their article.
the owner was fined! and the dog wasnt taken away from the owner by animal control ..... im telling u if it was truly a pit itll have been destroyed by now in nyc
