Down in the Dumps

Oh, man, pneumonia again! :(

I hope it goes away completely this time.

I know that they recommend anti-pneumonia shots for old folks. Is that something that your son could also benefit from?

I was wondering if they give shots to children for pneumonia too. Didn't think to ask my dr. as I had my pneumonia booster the other day along with a tetanus booster and a flu shot. Man, the pain, excruciating, my arms ached for days, and just felt sick for a day too. I'll never get more than one shot at a time from now on.

Mike this may sound bizzarre but manuka honey at top strength it is expensive but it works they us it on many infections in NZ has antibiotic in it ground up garlic not so easy to get that into a child but washed down with milk steam inhalations with tiny bit fryers basllsum I garantee. He be fine in few hours

He seems to be doing fine. The cough subsided but still snotting up a storm. He hasnt ate much as he says food tastes funny but he is drinking lots of fluids. Got him to eat a few bites of different foods so at least he has some food in his belly. I think the meds are making his taste buds taste food differently?

He has me helping him put together his Ninjago LEGO set, has over 2000 pieces... we have only gotten through 4 little bags of the kit, have 11 larger bags to connect. Its a massive set and Im frustrated with it already...lol

That is a good sign playing with his game , yeah meds can made foods taste difference . I would love to see how the Ninjago come out ! It sound like your son it getting better and that is great news ! :)

How is your son today, Sono?
He is himself again, bouncing off the walls. Still not eating well as he says food tastes funny ( probly the medication he is on?) He has his days and nights mixed up so Im working on getting him back on schedule, went to bed early last night but he still slept late today ( noon) but its better than 4-6pm.... hopefully after tonight he will be back on track, going to bed at 9 and up at 7am...

Other than that, he is barely coughing now, still snottin but not as bad. Supposed to be on meds til wednesday, so looks like its right on cue.

I am not sure if I understood you correctly,
but if you are saying "manuka honey from NZ has antibiotic in it" - it does NOT.
Honey, including manuka honey, have antimicrobial properties but it is not the same as having antibiotic.

I am kinda late, but wanted to say I am sorry your son was seriously ill.
But glad he is so much better, on the mend :)

I hope this advice of mine will not be necessary, but just in case if ever anyone needs a non-pharmaceutical remedy for nausea/throw-up,
a brew of ginger (fresh of ready to make tea) is really helpful.
As a migraineur, I can say even chewing on a fresh piece of ginger surprisingly can help.
it does taste bitter but, gosh, what a relief. otherwise, Gravol helps.

But it's best not to take Gravol until a Dr is seen or consulted - as it may masks serious symptoms.

A lot of children got bad colds, unfortunately.
