On September 10, the U.S. Department of Transportation fined Virgin America $150,000 for failing to make its in-flight safety video accessible to passengers with hearing loss. The airline also was ordered to cease and desist from further violations.

I've flew United several times and their safety videos are subtitled for Deaf people to read and understand clearly.

Many planes have the tv screen now than old times when they use a recording to announce the safety and flight attendants signaling where the exit route is. The safety video is a LOT easier for the passengers and crews.
