I know this is in the wrong thread and Im sorry about that but I was wondering if anyone ever gotten a free doorbell with flashing light?? If so please pm me with the link thanks :)

Can't help ya since my bf made homemade doorbell/phone flash. LOVE it!

What !!!! That is not nice at all !!!!! Many Deaf people tell me to take the doorbell off before going to bed and always have light bulb security sensor that if someone gets within 15-20 feet then the light will turn on then you watch someone come to the door and make sure they are not there to steal your doorbell but really are good friends so you don't have to worry about that.

Deaf doorbell theives aren't cool :squint:

I don't understand why if another Deafie can get it for free, why do they need to steal something that they can get for free you know what I mean? :roll:

Flashing doorbells can really help Deaf people's social life to improve with welcoming their family and some good friends over to visit. :) :thumb:

My doorbell has actually been stolen twice. The first time I was living in a regular apartment building and someone stole it. I reported it to the landlord and I got it back 2 days later. Then I moved to a nicer family-style apartment building and it got stolen again. (both in MN) Of course, I reported it but it was never returned to me. So now I am without a doorbell and that sucks especially when I am expecting a package from UPS that has to be signed for or for pizza or whatever. I have to check and check and check to see if they are at door...blah.

I can make arrangements for a friend to come over at a specific time so I know when to let them in but unfortunately I cannot set up a time for UPS or pizza guy or whatever. That's why I want a doorbell.
 
why don't everyone search on the net like ask jeeves etc.... Then once you find it post it on here.. Its what im doing tonight and it's kinda making me mad... lol Because I know some people can't afford a doorbell... I would love to have at least TWO!!!! FRONT AND BACK... SAFER that way for me.. I got dogs they will let me know who is at the door by barking but not ALWAYS!

Try asking VR or see if yoour state has a program for distributing doorbells and such.
 
Lowes have the Wireless Doorbell system that has a Strobe light ( Module plugs into outlet) built into it.

To be honest with you my VR is a asshole! And never kept promises to me! BROKE THEM ALL! :mad: :mad: :mad:

yeah how much?? beside some ppl can't afford them.... there are some things that you can get for free and etc... We're just hoping we can run across something with the doorbells.... :fingersx:

i am not sure now, it has been tool ong since the last time i was there.

you could type this wireless doorbell in a search engine like google or whatever.

Unfortunately I cannot use anything that has a strobe light. The strobe light REALLY blinds me. That includes fire alarms as well.
 
Why not ask your VR Counselor or go to Deaf Services?...They should provide with free services...
 
Damn, I hate someone who stole doorbell, how steal is work? :eek:

I wish that ADA need repeal that all apartments, condos and hotels need have handicapped room for deaf people, with TTY, doorbell and fire alarm.

I don't even have to worry about the doorbell since I got it along with my free products!!!!!! It came in today!!!!!! Hooray!!!!!!!!! Im soooooo freaking happy~ I got today is alarm clock with bed shaker,doorbell with flashing light and a FREE TTY/VCO!!!!!! and I got the weather alert two days ago I believe... all Im waiting for is FIRE ALARM!!!! Maybe it will come in tomorrow or so!!!!!! HOORRRAAAYYYY!!!!!!!!!!! :)


The good thing is I didn't have to pay lots of money for it since I was egliable for it!! It was all free....


Check into Department of service for the deaf and hard of hearing in your state online and fill out the application to see if you are egliable for it... It's a 5 year warrenty (sp) which is good and it's the GOOD EQUIPMENTS!!!!!!
 
my doorbell is broken in 3 yrs ago and didnt buy new one which I dont need it lol cause I can hear knock the door blah! but I must have doorbell if I dont wear my hearing aids how can I hear it? lol haha will get new one dont know when :)

I dont know of any program that gives these doorbell signal notification devices free. But you can improvise a similar system with about $8 dollars worth of materials from your local hardware.

My plan is good for indoor complexes that dont get any rain from the outside.
