I can't believe it is time to turn our clock forward again. It's a good time to put new batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors too.

Wirelessly posted

Robin, Did you hear about the new law that have been proposed? "Sunshine protection act" FL wants to keep the daylight savings.

Any of you have one you don't set (and it doesn't do it itself) but will have it right tomorrow?

I have an electric clock high on my kitchen wall but the cord comes down into easy reach. I have taken to pulling the plug out the night of the time change and reinserting it when it is that time the next morning.

We have such a radically changing daylight dark situation up here where the days rapidly get longer and longer hours of sunshine all Daylight Savings does is screw with our minds and not help anything. Where is that patience cap?

Finally 1 hour more daylight - great for people with usher syndrome.

Remember to change your clocks tonight

:wave:It's daylight savings time once again. Spring forward....so we lose an hours sleep.

I already started..

Put my atomic watch in a window. Set the manual one ahead. Had my husband set the binary.

Now the rest is up to him, as I can't reach any of the clocks.

Tomorrow is Sunday I don't have to set no stinking alarms :D YESH!!! I change them later. But thanks, luckily now with computers and cell phones doing it automatically I get nice big hints.

It's crazy how many clocks we have. I always forget the one in the car, messes up my hubby every time. :laugh2:

We have a lot too. Part of them are antique electric clocks, plus key wound antique clocks, on cuckoo that has weights on pull chains...

My father in law was a watchmaker.

Watchmaking is a lost art. Not just a skill but an art to it. I love to look at all the old watch tools. Talk about some TINY stuff!

Me? I've set my alarm for 2am so I can get up and change the clocks when they are supposed to be changed. I'm a stickler for it being EXACTLY what time it is. My grandmother was one of those crazy bats who set her clocks 15 mins fast and... EVERYTIME it gets to be near the time she's gotta go... she ALWAYS goes... oh oh oh I'm gonna be late! OH nevermind... it's fast. See that's why I do it!

am so not looking forward to losing an hour. why can't they just leave the time alone?

I never bothered changing the dashboard clock on my motorcycle, I wouldn't use it very much when it was Daylight Savings and I could never remember how.

Arizona does not have daylight savings. I think it is pretty interesting to read about it.

timeanddate.com tells you all about it.
