A dog sits for a second consecutive day next to the grave of her owner, Cristina Maria Cesario Santana, who died in the week's catastrophic landslides, at the cemetery in Teresopolis, near Rio de Janiero, on January 1, 2011. Brings a tear to my eye. I am amazed at the loyalty of a dog. Wow!

I hope that someone find her a good home. Sigh...

In the US, she would have people lined up to adopt her. In south america, maybe not. Depends on where and the local people. They may have other things more important right now to worry about, such as their destroyed homes, relatives that were killed etc.
