Cute pix!! Not common for cat and dog to sleep together. 
When I was a girl, I had a dog which loved to chase and bark at our cat. The cat hated it and ran away. But in old age, they sleep on the same back porch at the same time...guess my dog didn't have energy to chase the cat anymore. Both were put to sleep in the same year--the cat was 18 yrs old (I was 19 at the time) and the dog was 10. The cat had cancer so it was better to put her out of misery and same for the dog which had bad back--slipped discs which is common for her breed.

Wow, I've not actually seen a cat laying next to a dog before, maybe on TV or in movies, but not in RL....soooo cute....Roadrunner wants a dog, and I'm a cat lover but I do like dogs, just hope that the dog will get along with my cats...
