So I had an identity theft issue that happened to me back in 2006 and when I tried to sign up for a new bank they told me that I was still under chex system. I was told YEARS ago that it was taken care of and now I've moved I don't have the proof I need to prove that they found the case fraud and that account is no longer mine at the bank so I'm STUCK with this bank. This has ruined my credit for years I'm not paying for something I didn't sign over to a place I never even purchased. What are my options here?

I tried to use my VRS but apparently chex system don't have a relay option which makes me even MORE irritated, what the heck? Does anyone know what I can do???

Sorry I'm just peeved and really need advice.

Its news to me that all parties that we call have a "relay option"? What am I not understanding here?

Most phishing website and phishing email can steal your identity and bank information. When I ordered some items in store online website. I was waiting for receive invoice number email and no receive tracking number yet.

later, I checked my bank online for balance. I suspended someone using my credit card number for pay off his car has been impounded from Towing company at England about $500 as late payment policy.

I reported my bank quickly. They took care of it and got money back during investigate found I've has been fraud victim by Briton phish criminal on internet.

Well, the only solution is to go back to that bank and get this straighten out. Losing proof is even worse. Looks like you have couple years left before that information disappears. It would be extremely difficult to straight this out.

This is the reason why I discourage anyone from sharing their financial information, whatever is in your wallet is none of anyone's business. This is one way phisher figure out. For example you got visa from ACME bank. These crooks will use that name and set up and might contact you pretend they are from ACME bank and you could fall for it.

Oh, one more thing.. I signed up a "paperless" policy at my bank service online for no more my bank balance information paper send deliver to my home. If I don't sign up paperless policy. Someone can steal it in my mailbox. And, I never put credit bills paid with checks inside my mailbox for postal pickup. I use "E-Bill" bank service online is safe.

chex system is pretty much same as credit bureau and the only difference is that Chex system focus on debit (Opposite of credit). Usually for checking accounts. Chex system has been in place for years and years. This is why need to refer back to the bank, so that they can report to chex system and clear up.

Same with collections

So, if anyone abuse the checking accounts, generally banks won't even want to open account with these kind of people. That also how many ended up can't have checking account and need to use EBT or prepaid cards.

I am puzzled by this. I will admit that I don't use VRS but VCO with my state relay. Those calls placed through the relay service go to the same number that a voice caller would use.

I have not had reason to call Chex System. My bank does have you make your first relay calls to their 800 number unless you have already set it up with your local branch in person that you calls will be through relay.

There are quite a few businesses that still will not accept relay calls. I run into it here and there which is why I had to get a P3 and my CaptionCall. Used to have CapTel.

Right now, FCC is making difficult for anyone who would scam using relay service. Man banks and other businesses are not aware of this as of yet.
There will be changes on relay landscape in next 4 years.

Good news because now anyone want to apply for relay service account, now are required to prove they are Deaf, deaf, HOH, hoh, and American before they can use relay service.

That is not all, because of 10 digit local number is now required, meaning that all the banks, business will see your local 10 digit number on their caller ID instead of relay number.

I have no issues with Wells Fargo with relay service! That was 2 months ago.

FCC just announced that a week or so ago.
