does anyone have any advice on formula intolerance????

I agree with fredfam1. Goat's milk is much less harsh to a baby's digestive system. I know people who had to use it for their babies. The worst thing about it is the cost. It is expensive. I breastfed 3 children and all were/are extremely healthy. If that were not an option I would have used goat's milk. Formula is meant to be a substitute for mothers milk. Formula is not milk and is not natural for a baby. Feeding a baby milk in no way deprives the baby of nutrients and is actually more like what nature intended. Some of the stuff they put in formula causes additional problems (like the iron-it causes constipation). The problem is with the composition of cow's milk. It is not appropriate for human infants, forms a large curd in their stomach, and is extremely hard for them to digest. Frequent burping in a very young one is needed to ease pressure on the digestive system which can cause gas pains, acid reflux and spitting up.

And when I qualified for WIC (women infants and childrens food program)
I got a note from my doctor about my babies problems and WIC paid for
canned goats milk. It is not as tasty as fresh, and slightly less nutritious
but my babies seemed to thrive on it.
