I would help my Maw-maw quilt in her quilting ring when I was a little girl and over the last 3 or so years I've begun to pick it up again. I don't know how to post a picture on here or I would post a few showing y'all some of what I've done.
 
I figured it out I think I added it as an attachment, lets hope it works!:fingersx:
this is a picture of the second quilt I ever did bymyself. It has a newspaper article printed on a square in the middle. it looks like a blank square on this pic but it is an article my little friend did when he was in journalism class in high school that made the front page of the Times here.

It's beautiful Steph9700, unfortunately, I do not know how to make quilts yet, but my mom and her mother does, somedays I want to learn how to make them. I still have my brand new sewing machine which I haven't even used it yet. :eek3:
 
Hi, I can do quilting. I made quilting blankets for my grandma and my mom. I never make one for me. Someday I will. I wish I have a picture of two quilting that I made but I dont have a pictures.
 
thank-you. that was my first quilt I ever did and it was almost four years ago. I am starting a quilt now for my best friend Ronnie. He is gay and I found some rainbow stripe material and some pretty blue to match it and I am making him a "gay pride" quilt, I will post a pic when it is done and show you guys. I have only three squares done now, here they are.....:ty:

Those look very nice and it must be such a great feeling to have once you complete one while others can admire the quality of your work and expressions. :thumb:

I have a Quilt that my Grandmother made for me. I treasure it because it is hand made stitched with love. She is now gone. I remember her making quilts I was younger. She made some beautiful quilts and some she made from our old clothes.

steph9700 I think it is great that you quilt. You rarely find someone that hand makes quilts nowadays. Most blankets and quilts are made in factories.

any kind of quilting goes here, I would love to see the work you are doing, I haven't conquered yo-yo quilting yet. I am still doing basics and Angelique quilting. I would be very happy to see your yo-yo quilting you've done so far!

it's not that hard to get back into it if you remember a little of what you did as a kid. try to do it now, you can find designs at The Quilter's Cache - Marcia Hohn's free quilt patterns!
