Really? I never heard of that drink, I know of rum & coke. It's too strong for me. :barf:
Well, Pepsi is a type of cola.

Ever go to the store and notice those store brands like Dr. Thunder, Mountain Lightning, Cherry Cola, etc?

Well, Dr. Thunder is the store brand... like Dr. Pepper... like Mr. Pibb. They may taste a bit different, but the concept is the same.

Mountain Dew... Mountain Lightning... Surge...

Pepsi... Coca-Cola... RC Cola... etc

So, if you're a fan of Coca-Cola... get the usual Coke & Rum. If you prefer Pepsi, get Pepsi & Rum. Either way, it's the same concept. ;)

It's like some mixed drinks that use vodka. There are different brands of vodka, but the concept is the same... just a matter of what a person prefers. :)

i had my favorite breakfast of scrambled eggs with shredded cheese, extra thick bacon, a blueberry muffin and orange juice, but i'm so congested i can't taste a thing. :(

I remember when I was in my late 20's, my nose was shut from smellin'. I suffered from it for a whole 7 months. I couldn't smell aroma or food that I cooked. :mad2: When the fall came, it started to rain and I went outside -- ahhhhh, finally I CAN smell!! It was about time! :laugh2: Thanks to the rain for helpin' my nose to breath and smell once again. Seven months were pretty tough for me, because I lost the pleasure of smell durin spring and summer. :squint:

7 months? wow!

i have year round allergies and if we haven't had rain for awhile, i really do suffer. :(

i'm currently taking a decongestant (allergra-d) but it's not helping.

my doctor said my symptoms should only last for a few more days, so i'm happy about that.

a very good friend of mine who had a uri last winter said my dry cough could linger (as hers did) for an extra month. i'm crossing my fingers that's not going to happen.

right now though i'm REALLY missing the taste of food. it's been 7 days since i've been able to taste anything. :(

if you read my profile, you'll notice i love to cook and collect recipes, so it's not uncommon for me to make a nice, hearty breakfast like that. :)

i think i got into that habit because of my mother since she always used to make a large breakfast for me in the morning.

Also, I love pancakes with crispy bacon on the side, I eat it altogether, and I know it is american style ;)

Tonight I went to a local Mexican restaurant with my older daughter.
I ate chicken breast with rice and beans and corn tortillas.

Now we are watching TNT with Noah Wyle as the Librarian and drinking candy cane hot cocoa and eating chocolate covered cherries.

It is a nice part of the Christmas season.:)

Christimas Spirits includes us during its festive season, yes?

Yes. I always feel quite sad when it ends.

I feel the same way, too. When I went to Wal-mart the other day to check some items for my grown up children, I saw there was a beautiful decoration of Christmas stuff around. I feel so good about seein' them. It's really nice to touch them, too and feel them to admire what Christmas means to me. It oftens brought me smiles. LOL I love Christmas and wish I could have Christmas for 365 days all year round! :aw:

Yeah, but there always come back a year later, si?

Blueberry....

I used to LOVE pancakes from McDonald's with Blueberry sauce, they are fantastic, but they stopped few years ago. :(

mcdonald's used to sell pancakes with blueberry sauce? i didn't know that. (perhaps i'm too young to remember)

however, their pancakes are still delicious. :)

good news! for the first time in 1 and 1/2 weeks, i'm actually able to taste and smell something!

this morning i had pancakes, sausage, toast with strawberry jam and orange juice. yum! :)

I'm kinda hungry but I don't know what I want to eat.

How are you feelin' today, my dear friend ? Can you taste any food ? :aw:

Every spring, I had a bad allergic to pollen and sometimes, I couldn't smell for a day or 2... not like 7 months that I had before. *prayin' that it will not happen again* ( Knockin' on wood ) It's amazin' how the senses can turn off for some reasons and then come back. I get frustrated very easy if, my sense of smell shut off, because I depend on it alot for many reasons. Like for instance, if the food burns on the stove, my nose will alert me.
