MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A urologist has been indefinitely barred from inpatient surgery for removing the wrong kidney of one patient and taking a biopsy from another's patient's pancreas instead of a kidney. Dr. Erol Uke has signed the disciplinary ruling from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice, agreeing that his actions justify the board's discipline.

The ruling said Uke could regain surgical privileges if the board later determines he's competent to do so.

The Star Tribune reported the ruling did not say where the errors happened, just that Uke removed the wrong kidney in March 2008 and performed the erroneous biopsy about four months later.

Uke declined comment when reached at home by The Associated Press.

Very stupid. No mistakes like that are allowed in surgeries.
 
I think he should have been forced to give up one of his own kidneys to someone who need one and was a match.
 
So, he was "disciplined"??....HAHA!...If a surgeon removed the wrong kidney on me....I'd sue his ass! Jeez, makes me really wonder where all these monkeys go to school to learn to be a doctor? Send him back to biology class! Or maybe he'd do "just dandy" in autopsy!

And to think that these "schmunks" are allowed to play doctor!
 
I had client and she was at her Dr. office and the doctor told my client that her foot had to cut off! My client looked down that the name on the report and told the doctor that was not her name!! The poor lady almost had a heart attack when she heard she was going to lose a foot! I was at my doctor and I was telling him I did not have a mammogram for awhile and needed one. My Dr. looked at my file and said I had one a few months ago! I said did not that I would had remember having my breast turned to a pancake!
The mammogram result was another other woman and some fool put it my file! I thought what it I did have a mammogram the same time that woman did and she had cancer and her result was in my file! You should made the the test result is your if you to have surgery!
